Zelos got zeal! Jas downstairs gave me a free room upgrade and treated me like a King from the moment I arrived. Each security guard I met was also amazingly respectful, even when I was arriving back at 3am, no room key, and looking like the nightmarish evening out that I had had. (This should be common courtesy, but having stayed in dozens of hotels across hundreds of nights in SF over the last 10+ years, I can say that in my experience it's rather UNcommon, particularly among the Market St corridor hotels.) The combination of this plus their high quality room facilities have earned this hotel a spot among my top 10.

Fine This hotel is fine. It’s not great, it’s just fine. The desk at check in was super sweet. The one valet we kept having was sort of short with us and kind of lazy. When you came back he wanted you to go honk at the gate so he’d let you in to park. I mean that’s easier in general, but you’re paying for valet so mixed feelings about that. The other front desk people encountered weren’t as friendly as the first, and none could multitask. If you call and need something you’re probably not going to get ahold of anyone unless there is nobody at all in the lobby. At some point we asked for towels and got slippers. The room was perpetually musty, even with the fan running constantly. There was hair in the shower upon arrival and a dirty pillow. Everything was taken care of, but not something that needs to be asked to be clean. Like I said hotel was fine, don’t need to return.

consider upgrading to a king suite just for the better bathroom The hotel staff were very generous and accommodating to us for the even we attended in the hotel restaurant(Dirty Habit). Highly recommend visiting the restaurant. Their food was great and the patio was beautiful. If you host any event there Sam and Jess are amazing. The room itself was cute. We had a two double beds(which are small for a bigger pair) but the room size worked for 3 of us. The bathroom is pretty small plus no fan/adequate drainage.

No Woes at Hotel Zelos The hotel is an excellent choice based on its' location, stylishly appointed rooms, price and incredibly quiet rooms despite being on one of the busiest streets in the city. Public transit was steps away including BART and the Metro. The restaurant in the hotel was very good with other restaurants, a grocery store and a Target within easy walking distance.
