Pitch-black Sleepfest Nice Motel with friendly staff and some awesome amenity: 1. price 2. located close to Palace of Fine Arts, Chesnut St. (bars, restaurants, cafes) and Golden Gate Bridge 3. small breakfast 4. parking for free. The Lombard St. can be rather loud in the morning during the week, but I get up early to watch the sunrise at Fort Point. The bed was perfect and I could sleep really good. Keep in mind, that it‘s not a 5* luxury hotel. But everything was nice and clean. I was really satisfied. Thumbs up!

Dim view inside, Happy View outside For this review I contacted the hotel and the rate is 149 dollars. It is on priceline for 94 after tax at this very moment. Found the room on priceline and stayed for about 4 days averaging 85 a night after taxes. When you take into account the free parking that is offered this translates into a great deal. The room was near the road but i did not mind as i like to gaze out the window often and the noise does not bother me at all. Furnishings are par for the course and everything in the room was clean. My only issue was that once the sun goes down i could not see anything in the room. The lighting was so dim and depressing it took allot to get used to. When i say dim i mean it was hard to even read the ingredients on a food box without going into the bathroom. We started to leave the bathroom door open and the light on so we could see better, but sometimes the fan noise became bothersome. Other than that i would recommend this place do to the price when booking third party do to the price. For some reason if you book direct they feel inclined to charge near double. Actually just now, while writing this review on the steps, I was just confronted by a man asking me if i "knew him". He opened the door previously when i sat down to smoke and slammed it shut right away which i found wierd. This time i sat down to do the review and smoke. He comes out, so i stand up to make way on the stairs. He says with allot of hostility "do i know you?!" I said what? He then repeated himself and got near my face while looking sideways at me. He grabbed his bag and got into his car and sped away. So be careful at nite time because this was scary for me and this man appeared to be on drugs.

Content with my visit Great location, which is really what this motel is for. It was super convenient. The room was very clean. Service was decent. We didn’t eat breakfast there, really wasn’t much to choose from but we got to eat at other places. I was there for a total of 4 days.

Great location but the room is very old and musty smell We spent there about 4 nights and there were both pros and cons styaing here. Pro: Location close to marina, golden gate Bridge, walkable to restaurants nearby. Free parking: lots of parking spots and safe. Breakfast : breakfast was a typical breakfast most hotel served i.e. Breads, toasters, jams, milk, coffee, instant hot chocolate, orange, apples, oatmeal. Cons: Dated room: we stayed at the rear of the hotel so. It was not noisy at all but we didnt like the smell of the room once we walked in. The room was very dated like torn lampshed. The carpet was quite dirty and they didnt clean the carlet and we knew because we dropped something on the floor and it was still left there after we got back at night.
