Fantastic stay - will be back! 1) Location one block away from Union Square is fantastic. Great connectivity - a 5 mins walk to the Powell St Bart station and Westfield Shopping Centre and Macy’s, the cable car tram stop is literally next to the hotel and you can walk to Chinatown via the tunnel. Union Square is clean and bustling. Most shops are opened and our sense of security grew day by day. The homeless situation is barely visible. McDonalds, Starbucks and Walgreen are across the road. 2) Service provided by staff was the best . Special mention for Kelley, she made us feel welcomed upon check-in AND welcomed us back to the hotel with a cheery greeting every evening. Our requests were delivered promptly and she went out of her way to help us with some printing that we needed to get done. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. 3) The room is well-furnished with modern fittings. Pretty spacious for 3 persons in a double room. Loved the bay window and the settee with the portable side table. So handy. We asked for a microwave for the room and it was delivered free of charge to our room immediately. There were ample power points for charging devices all over the room. The pillows were soft, not really my type, but some might like them. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay here. Will stay here again definitely!

Worst Marriott I have ever been This Marriott is a throw back to the 1980s. Small rooms, tiny bathrooms with no vanity, just a sink, toilet and shower. And the staff is rude and unhelpful. I had stayed at a Marriott in Union Square years ago, but it was definitely not this one. Must have been the JW. I have traveled quite a bit for work during Covid and I understand the need for certain restrictions, but this hotel uses it as an excuse to offer nothing. Not even coffee and water in the Lobby. I’m a Marriott Platinum member and have stayed at Marriotts all over the country for years. This is the very worst. Do yourself a favor and don’t stay there.

Excellent Customer Service and Clean Hotel Excellent customer service! Kelley (?) helped us a lot! Smooth check-ins and our requests were accommodated. We were there over the weekend to visit the Philippine Consulate office. Great location! Walking distance to mostly everything in SFO Union Square. Too bad their restaurant is still closed due to Covid-19.

Lovely room, convenient location We spent five nights at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square, visiting as tourists. We happened to have snagged a good price, and the hotel was great. We lucked out on being given a room on the 25th floor, with commanding views to the north. The room was spotlessly clean and the bedding was wonderful. What's funny is there isn't much of anything to the lobby; a reception counter and that's about it. The cable cars run right past the hotel on Powell Street; unfortunately they still were not running when we were there in July. The hotel is just two blocks from Chinatown and its many great restaurants and interesting shops. We didn't indulge, but there is a breakfast restaurant off the lobby with a buffet that was I think something like $18.
