A huge thank you This is a huge thank you to Katy E. at the reception desk of the Pruneyard Double Tree in Campbell, CA. My husband and I had reservations for Saturday night, August 3, but arrived later in the evening, very tired. We discovered the room we were given had the headlights of parked cars shining in...and smelled like someone had broken the no-smoking rules...and was near a crying, coughing infant (sounded ill, poor kid). We asked for a different room, but the hotel was sold out. Katy noticed our disappointment, and how tired we were, and said, "Let me see what I can do." It took a while. She searched the computer, had someone go look into some rooms, and eventually found a room we could have. We slept very well before our family get-together the next day and were so thankful for that. The "find a room" scenario may happen often at a hotel, but it was Katy's empathy and understanding that made all the difference to us. She apologized for having taken so long when we were clearly tired out, and she even filled a little bag with "comfort" goodies for us to have. Excellent service! Thank you, Katy E., for your empathy, diligence, kindness, perseverance and problem-solving skills. You are a gem.

Noise/parking problems? Not really… I was hesitant to stay at the Doubletree Pruneyard because other reviewers complained that the room was noisy and parking was impossible. We discovered that although the hotel’s lot did fill up, the hotel’s parking pass allowed us to leave our car in the Pruneyard parking area immediately adjacent to the hotel lot. We also discovered that, although the area closest to Reception was noisy if there was a group function in the bar, we were able to get a room at the farthest end of the hotel where no noise from the bar was audible. The trick is to call the hotel itself on the day before or the morning of your arrival and tell them you need a quiet room. Finally, be aware that some room deals include breakfast. If you care about that, be sure to ask when you book the room. (Peet’s coffee is in the plaza just around the corner from the hotel.)

Poor service We had mis booking. Asked to reception to book , they offer 100 dollars expensive price compared to online booking. Service staffs are not kindness. Don’t want to use again, they don’t care foreigners. I’m very disappointed

Great if you don't bring a car On the plus side, amazing shower. Hot, fantastic pressure. Room was large, bed was wonderful. Nice TV. We had one issue in the room (toilet not working) which was fixed immediately. Good selection of restaurants in the complex. My only complaint, which was very frustrating and likely would prevent me from staying here again, is the parking. The hotel itself has a very small lot so you end up parking in the shopping-center parking. Couple that with one-way restrictions in the lot, narrow aisles, and competition for spots with many other shoppers and hotel guests, as well as time restrictions on spots, and it's really a mess. We came back from dinner Saturday evening and needed to park on the other side of the mall, and then of course, find our car again in the morning. It was quite simply the worst parking I've ever seen at a hotel. This seems like a great space for a multi day corporate event where no one is driving. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable rooms. Not a great place to be with a car.

I you want to sleep, DON’T STAY HERE!! Noise! Noise! and MORE Noise! For the money I have never had such a noisy stay. Wish I had looked at the reviews! 9pm on noisy parties in the lobby and restaurant and no hallway doors to stop it from funnelling down to your door! Horrible. Will never spend another night here.
