nice hotel close to new airport This hotel is close (20 minutes or so) to the new airport, though when driving to it one might be concerned as the access road goes through some downscale areas. The hotel itself is ok as a transit hotel, with a large restaurant (good food, nice selection) and a nice garden area in the back. A bit of an oasis. The rooms were OK, plenty comfortable but a bit on the economy side. We stayed here three different nights, twice in the same room and once in another. In one room the hair dryer did not work and the hot water was iffy, but all was fine in the other. The main issue is related to the airport - the hotel is directly under an approach route. In one room, we ended up having to wear earplugs due to the airplane noise (on two different stays, so that appears to be the norm) - note that planes land and take off from all hours. In the other room, the noise level was much lower.

They are lazy! This place no good! The owner/ management and securities are incompetent , lazy and simply stupid. At 2:30 AM the alarm for building # 6 starts and for 45 minutes no one does anything, no calls to police, no fire department ! Also they were upset that why guests are concern. The head security and front desk stated that they CAN NOT do anything and do whatever you want. Their concern was why I am upset and asking for help. If the place is burned no one will be there to save or help you ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE HOTEL EVEN IF THEY OFFER FREE! EVEN IF THEY OFFER ME MONEY I WILL NOT GO THERE. The place is dirty , out dated and simply BAD!

OK hotel option if you get a deal Hotel costs appear to be out of sight in San Jose and I was relieved to get a good deal here, very close to the airport. It's not the level of hotel I normally stay at, but those options were more than twice the cost, even on Priceline. The hotel is OK, more of a motel style with 8 buildings radiating outward around a central courtyard with the pool, hot tub and attractive garden. The rooms are decent size, nicely, if cheaply furnished. I'm writing this there balancing on a chair that might pitch me over. The mattress is an older style, a little lumpy, but OK. There is no airport noise in my room, or much parking lot noise, but I do hear the guest above me walking around. It's been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel where there is no flatscreen TV. TV reception is terrible. When I asked, I was told they dropped an earlier supplier since they are closing in 2 weeks (I don't know if they are remodeling or if a no owner takes over). They said they would send a technician to check the connection - no one ever came. Internet reception is good at the desk, not at the bed. If you're idle for a while, you have to sign in to connect each time. Finding my room took a while since the door to my wing had a sign indicating it led to different room numbers. Had that door been closed, the directions would have been correct, but not when it was open. Parking areas near the rooms fill early at night - if you come back late, you'll have to schlepp from the far side of the hotel. The hotel didn't have my reservation when I checked in. It took a while, but everything got straightened out. We had dinner in their restaurant - the only people eating there. The food was alright - my partner enjoyed the fish tacos. The restaurant is noisy - even with no people. It opens to the bar and the talking at the one occupied table and the bartender talking nonstop with one patron was enough to make the place sound like it was full. A lot of things to consider. But if price is your main issue and you get a deal here, you probably can live with the rest.

Dirty, outdated rip-off with NO Internet STAY AWAY Silicon Valley can be quite challenging to find a hotel on short notice. My company travel agency kept bringing up this hotel as preferred, after my experience I am going to campaign to remove it from any consideration. First the cost, I booked through my company portal and was to recieve a $194 nite rate, when I checked in they jacked that up to $226, plus taxes. They refused to honor the rate I was quoted. Next, this is a huge property, many buildings, I was in building 6, a bit of a hike from the registrations, ok if you have a car. Next the room was dingy and dirty, worn down. The TV was at least 15 years old and was hard to view anything. But this was just one nite, so I am OK, until the final straw, no Internet. This was widespread, when checking in, I had to wait a long time for all the guests that could not get on the internet. None of them left satisfied and after an hour of trying myself, I gave up and was forced to use my hotspot and pay big data charges.
