Not the best Holiday Inn This isn’t going well so far. I checked in yesterday. For some reason, they added 20% to my bill, in case I smoke in the room. I don’t smoke. When I checked in, I requested enough towels and coffee pods for the week (5 big towels, 5 wash cloths, 10 coffee pods). The young lady at the desk said she would leave a note for housekeeping. I’m trying to lessen housekeeping’s exposure to my cooties and my exposure to their cooties. This has not been a problem with any other hotel where I have stayed in the past 14 months, and there have been several. After work today, I was at the grocery store picking up a few things and someone called from the hotel. She said they can’t give me towels for the week but the coffee is in the room. I requested an extra blanket because I like the room to be cold but I need to be warm. I was told there might be an extra blanket, stop by the front desk. They gave me another comforter. Ok, that will do. Got to the room and there is no coffee. Housekeepers are in the hall, three of them. I ask for the coffee. None of them can figure out how to hand me a bunch of coffee pods. I’m going to call the front desk after I take a shower, we’ll see how it goes. So far, these folks have done nothing that makes me want to stay here again. Also, I’m a bit concerned about the neighborhood. I’ve lived in some pretty sketchy places and my first year of doing archaeology was spent at a Motel 6 that was pretty bad. This is obviously not the wealthy section of town and I’m fine with that, but the paper I signed when I checked in had something on it about how they work closely with the police. Is there illegal activity going on here that we should know about? I just want a clean and safe place to stay.

Up and down visit, mostly down I arrived just after 3pm and was made to wait a half an hour before my room was ready. Also the front staff were on their phones and weren’t very attentive. The room I was given was a very large suite and was pretty nice. Not sure if this was because I had to wait or if every room is this big. The room had a large humming sound that was distracting most of the night. That being said, I couldn’t hear anything from other rooms which was good. Not sure if I would return.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT SERVICE!!! We arrived after 2.00 when our room was supposed to be ready. It was not. Come back after 3:00. We did. The room was not ready. The clerk said she’d give us a different room. Second floor. My BF is handicapped in a wheelchair. Up the elevator all the way at the end of the hall. I had to ask for help from strangers to load the wheelchair. Hotel staff cannot help due to the Covid. I took a shower and the tub drain was filling water up to my knees. Tried calling front desk for 2 hours. No answer. Went down. Phones are out. Left a wake up call for 9:00 am. No call. Went down. Phones still out. Thank God for cell phone alarm. Decided to stay a second night. Breakfast was cancelled. Instead a paper bag with a pastry water and a granola bar. Couldn’t get back in our room as they forgot to reprogram our room keys. On morning two we overslept and called to ask for N additional half hour. The verrrry rude front desk manager said he would not approve our lateness. We will NEVER stay here again and do not recommend you do either!!

Management and staff indifferent and unconcerned My room did not receive housekeeping service during day two of a three night stay. I understand that the housekeeper may have overlooking this. I notified the front desk when I returned to my room the evening of this oversight. The front desk clerk did not apologize or show any concern. This was very disappointing. I sent an email to the hotel General Manager, who ignored me. One week later I have not heard back from the GM.
