The worst experience ever I had the worst experience ever at this hotel. The fire alarm went off twice without any explanation, and each time it was turned off silently only to go off again shortly after. When I asked the front desk, I received no answers or assistance. To make matters worse, EMS personnel on-site behaved unprofessionally, flipping us off and using offensive language in front of guests and children. I strongly advise against staying here—save your money and go to Kalahari or another better-rated hotel.

Good for the price. Waterpark is great for inclement weather during Cedar Point visits! Positives are cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of the staff, dance party at night, waterpark safety (abundance of lifeguards and obvious rigorous training), Starbucks coffee, price point of rooms, bunk bed layout for large family. The only negatives were that our room was not ready by 4:00 check in and the management staff did not offer a discounted room rate or any compensation. We also specifically asked for housekeeping services during the day and did not receive them. When they did come, they only emptied the trash. Housekeeping services are subpar. Pillows are uncomfortable and there are no extra blankets in the room. Also, no hair dryer is a negative. But overall the experience was excellent with only a few minor inconveniences.

A stay at castaway The best part of our stay was the convenience. Cedar Point causeway is a minute away. The beds are soft and the rooms are clean. The only downside for me is no adult pool or hot tub separate from the water park and also no coffee pots in any of the rooms.

Nice Great water park. Loved the wave pool. Nice hotel. Cheerful and fun decor. Cleanliness of the guest rooms could be improved (ex: the interior of the windows were not clean). Hotel is kid friendly, but was also noisy on a busy Saturday when we went. Nice gift shop. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Will return to Castaway Bay in the future for sure.

WORST HOTEL YET We booked the big suite for our sons 13th bday. I called the night prior to pay for early check in- cost additional $75.00, paid that then when we arrived to check in they told us that they double booked our suite and the hotel was book solid. I was beyond angry and they never even refund the room, i had to call our bank to dispute the charge - the hotel mgr said.. "what do you want me to do? Build you another room myself"!! I said no as**** fire the idiot that double booked our room, cause that person was never trained properly to see the room was already booked and paid for, so that person should be fire and so should his manager. oh wait.. thats yourself. HORRIBLE place.. do not go here...
