Wish I could rate it a zero but since it wasn’t a choice 1 will have to suffice. Waking into the hotel and most noticeably our room you are hit with a damp and moldy smell. We had to call housekeeping several times to get blankets and sheets for our the pull out couch. Now comes the worst part, every night there are extremely loud activities held in the lobby until 11pm every night. The bass and volume are so loud that our rooms (we had 2) shook with each beat. You could even feel the bass outside on the balcony. We asked every night to please turn the volume down but the front desk and “entertainment” staff have different managers and they had to call a GM to request a volume change which never happened even though we were told it would be addressed. The entire lobby was filled with people sitting on the lobby floor and blocking the stairways. There was no space to bring luggage to the elevators or even to get to the stairs. This seems to be a fire/safety hazard which we will check into. We had an entire baseball team stay here and they could not get any rest because of this situation so we will never stay here again.

Terrible —-Money wasted on bad hotel Terrible for the price you are paying. My son has been asking for years to visit so we decided to surprise him. Upon entering room, a sour smell hit us. Humidifiers definitely need to be used due to constant water traffic. Rooms are old, definitely not clean and the bathrooms are very tiny. I’m a small frame and it was tight. Air conditioner is a joke. You either freeze or don’t use it. Not enough towels in room. Sandusky is in the middle of nowhere, how else are you to arrive if not by car? Paying for parking is crazy. We come to cedar point every year and honestly the Hilton Tru or Fairfield Marriott was cleaner and nicer. As a travel agency owner, I would NEVER recommend this to anyone and will be sending pics with review to other agencies

Horrible customer service After checking in we went to the water park and it was a horrible experience. We encountered a life guard who thought he was superior to all of us guest who without us, he wouldn't have a job. He treated my granddaughter awful. And when I tried to report him, his boss defended him and basically said they believed him. I asked if they could tell me his name and if he worked the next day because if he was going to be there then we didn't want to be. They refused to tell me his name or if he would be there. After spending $1500 for a 2 day stay and all the extra packages we added you would have thought we could have at least been told if we could have an enjoyable day or not. Attached is a photo of the life guard in question. Definitely won't ever come back here again. Over priced and rude

This place has become a scam... First I booked the room for my kids and I because I seen a nice deal. After booking I find out I am going to get charged 35$ for a "resort fee" and 15$ to park in their parking lot. There is no other option to park anywhere else so you have to pay these fees. They try to sell you all these packages - wands, build a bear, bowling, etc. I would recommend not to purchase anything until you are there. I purchased the breakfast package which was 55$ plus tax and thinking it was a buffet. It was a tray with 5 tiny pancakes, scrambled eggs, some meat, potatoes, small fruit cup, and one drink. You can order more if you want but its not that good. When I looked at the prices it was the same as purchasing it there so its pointless because my kids wanted cereal and other things on the menu. Also we had to wait 40 minutes on a Tuesday morning to get a table even though there were many tables available. The pool doesn't open till 10am and check out is 11am so my kids missed that hour window to swim. There is a Dunkin doughnuts there if you prefer to get sandwiches from there too. The bowling is 24.99 for the family but I got charged about 8$ a person and they didn't want to adjust my card. I also got charged 80$ for towels that we returned but we didn't scan our wrist band when we did because NO ONE TOLD US TO. When I called to get my money back for that they transferred me twice and I was on the phone for an hour and a half! Why would anyone want to take used thin old towels?! As for the water park I would say its okay for younger kids under 8. Kids over 8 will get bored after a half hour and will want to go play in the arcade which is crazy expensive as well. A VR game for couple minutes was 40 credits! So just a heads up everything will add up once you get there. I would recommend Kalahari over this place its cleaner and less outdated and less boring and your time and money will go a better way overall.
