Comfortable and affordable stay. This was the most affordable place that I could find in the area for our recent 7 night stay. After reading negative reviews about this property on this website, as well as on other sites, I was very concerned about my choice. I missed the deadline to cancel my reservation (through Sam’s Club Travel) and hoped for the best. I’m very glad that I stayed here and that I did not spend the extra several hundred dollars to stay elsewhere. From the time we checked in, the staff was friendly. All of the other guests on the property that we encountered were friendly as well. We paid a $7 nightly parking fee (this fee was not disclosed by the third-party booking company) however I was already aware to expect this, as I had read about it in other reviews. The parking lot was well lit at night and there was never a time that I did not feel safe. Daily housekeeping is not available, this service is provided after the 7th day. During our stay, we were able to exchange our bed linens, as well as our bath towels at the front desk. They also provided us with additional garbage bags and toilet paper. There was a laundry room on the 1st floor that was open until 10pm. We did not use it. I called in advance to get details about it, they informed me that I could download an app to use the laundry machines. The room was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals for ourselves, a stove top area, pots, cooking utensils and a microwave. The FULL size refrigerator/freezer was a HUGE plus for the groceries that we purchased. There was a large closet in the room, where I was able to store all of my luggage. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I look forward to staying here in the future and hope to stay for an amazing affordable price again.

Never again Never again. Used to be Candlewood - the rooms were spotless and inviting. We loved the Candlewood because of the location and proximity to freeway and shopping. Now it's ghetto. The hallway to the room was ghetto- dirty carpet, dented doors, paint chipped walls. My sister and I had to wipe down the room. We took video of the room just in case. The cabinet next to the fridge had a broken piece. The dishwasher looked like coffee had been dumped in it and never rinsed. By the time we left my white footie socks were dirty from the carpet. We had to request a shower curtain. We went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies - used clorox cleanup and fabreze. The light in the fixture in the bathroom is all rusty. I paid almost 500.00 plus parking.

Dirty room & lack of service I was disappointed with our stay at Sonesta Simply Suites Orange County Airport Sonesta. The room was horribly dirty. • Check in - it was explained to us that there was no room service. If we wanted clean linens, we had to take the dirty linens to the front desk, then we would receive clean linens. Rooms were cleaned every seven days. We had to empty our own trash. We requested an extra blanket but was told for two days they did not have any extra, so we got an extra sheet. • Hotel hallways - the hallway carpet was black alongside of the walls and not cleaned. The hallway carpets were dirty. The walls were dirty. There was a room door that was damaged and appeared to have been punched at several times. • Kitchenette - front face drawer covering of sink was broken. The cabinets particle board was worn and damaged throughout the kitchen. The inside of the fridge was ok. The dishwasher was dirty and had some brown stuff on the bottom. The paper towel holder had a large screw sticking out making it hard to put paper towels on the holder. • Room area - The room dresser/credenza had damage covered by patch color. The drawers in the desk/dresser/credenza were dirty and damaged. The curtains were not clean and black at the top even though the curtains were tan in color and smelled of old cigarette smoke. The air conditioner cover was broken. The nightstand drawer was dirty. • Floor - The carpet was dirty and musty smelling. The room smelled musty. There were cigarette burns on the carpet under the recliner. • The table-lamp on the other side of the bed was not working because the plug was behind the bed and smashed into the wall. • Bathroom - there was mold around the bathtub. There was no shower curtain. (when we did receive a shower curtain, we had to hang it ourselves.) There was shaved hair in the sink. The side of the vanity was dirty. The tissue holder was not secure on the side of the vanity. The vanity light cover was rusty and end cap covers were partially off. The wall above the door was still yellowed from cigarette smoke. The bathroom door would not latch closed unless you lifted the door to latch. • Laundry room - the washer we used leaked all over the floor. Lastly, we ended up cleaning the entire room ourselves with Clorox wipes. We sprayed the carpet with Febreze and sprayed the bathroom with shower spray w/bleach to remove the mold. We mopped the kitchenette floor and bathroom floor with a Swiffer wet jet without the liquid cleaner and mop at the bottom. We cleaned the floor with dish soap on rags.

Please do not stay here! If I could give it 0 stars I would. There are tons of people are using as a weekly hotel and actually are living there long term. There are even people receiving mail! Beware they do not like outsiders staying there. We ended up leaving our reservation early to change locations to the Alo Ayre in Anaheim, which I highly recommend. Where do I start? There is no maintenance onsite so when we arrived in our room the tv remote was chewed to pieces. We asked for maintenance to come fix it and they handed us a remote we programmed ourselves. I noticed the stench throughout the building and the dirty carpets everywhere. Oh and don't get me started on the stairs, which were 10 times worse. It was as if dogs peed in every corner of the hotel and carpets had not been cleaned... ever! The couches and walls had been patched up and very poorly I might add. The sinks were all clogged and the toilet ran nonstop. The air vents are disgusting and will make you feel sick. There was dirt and buildup everywhere. The pull out couch looked like a crime scene had occurred. The only positive is that we were able to leave early. Wether it's price or location trust me there are tons of other options that will not leave you traumatized. Please do not stay here, unless ants and mold are your thing. The pictures were not accurate at all. I would have taken some to post but we packed up so quickly and ran up so we did not get a chance. Ugh, I still am grossed out, and we are not even there anymore.

My terrible experience during my stay Bad - Air conditioning fail to control the room temperature, expect to experience hot and cold cycle at the mercy of the thermostat - House keeping only occur every 7th day, exchange clean towel on your own at front desk - Slow wifi connection - Dishwashing machine broken - Cleaner storm in your room unexpectedly - Cleaner knock the door checking if you are checking out - Feedback the Air conditioning issue to front desk via phone and face to face in different days, promised to get technician to check and verify, after that no reply no follow up, and problem still exist. Good - Self service laundry provided (cleaning agent at user expense) Overall (Highly Not Recommended) At this price range in the same area, I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvement made. To add on, throughout the stay observed a few long parked vehicles in the hotel car park (one SUV even had a puncture tyre, body full of spider web), this is the management running a hotel can be expected.
