Mother’s Day Pampering! The SPA Massage by Deirdre was wonderful and the SPA facility was first class. The patio forest view room was very spacious, well-appointed, clean. The bed and linens were perfect. The View Restaurant was lovely, amazing view and foodappetizing. Bar great! Staff friendly. A very comfortable property in all aspects.

Beautiful hotel, but lots of additional charges The Chaminade is a great hotel with a beautiful view. However, we were dissappointed by all the additional charges that were charged to our bill for the use of the resort, the parking and additional fees to pay for a highr minimum wage for the staff. For such a luxurious hotel with a premium rate, I'd expect that those things are included in the price already.

Don’t stay in room 207 The room was fine. Strangely only 2 towels put into a room that can accommodate 4. But I was too lazy to call room service so we just shared towels with the kids. The sofa bed is only a twin- maybe I didn’t read the listing well but just FYI for travelers wanting to fit 4 in a king junior suite. Thankfully we brought a blow up mattress as backup for one of the kids so they didn’t have to try and share a sofa twin bed. “Resort view” is really just slats of wood comprising of their fence, beyond which is the parking lot. So less resort view, more slats of wood with cars and car exhaust seen/smelled through the gaps of wood. Would not recommend the extra money for a patio room with “resort view”, unless you need the extra room to hang up to dry floaties/wet swim clothes. Let’s get into the worst of the worst- the noise of slamming doors at night. Any of the rooms at the end of the building near the doors leading in and out of the building should be avoided at all cost. They are not soft close doors, and sound incredibly loud at night when people are entering and leaving the building all night long. They were loud enough wake me and my husband every time- it was so loud, we thought it was our own kids entering and leaving our room at night. And double worse if you’re by the maintenance supply closet like room 207 is. We always travel with a white noise machine because we know hotel noise levels vary. We had ours on MAX. We slept with earplugs. Nothing helped. Thankfully we were only there 1 night. We left first thing in the morning to go back home and get actual rest. We had planned on taking advantage of more resort offerings that morning but nope. No way. We were exhausted. My friend who planned to visit this resort later this month asked me how it was and it was a resounding would not recommend!! So I pass this onto you. If you have your heart set here, make sure your room is in the middle of the building, as far away from the exit doors as possible. Good luck!

Amazing!!! Just amazing. Upon our check in its so beautiful and serene. Loved every minute of our stay for my husband's 40th. Great and friendly vibes. We even made reservations at The view restaurant and it was amazing. We can't wait to be back hopefully very soon. Looking forward to more fun and adventurous moments.

Not the resort it used to be The reputation of this resort is dated. I had wanted to stay here for decades. While there, the pool was so crowded, we had nowhere else to sit but in front of the pool/spa that were being renovated. Trying to make the best of it, we ordered a beer and cocktail for which we paid $32! Then, we hiked a short trail and encountered briars and thistle bushes covering the trail and several downed eucalyptus trees. The downed and dry eucalyptus trees pose a fire hazard.
