They do the most important things right This was one of the better prices in Santa Rosa that we could find. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable. The room has a fridge and microwave. There is a required $100 deposit that they tell us will be refunded within a week. At check in, the person who came out to check us in (there was no bell to ring, but she appeared within a couple of minutes) was not rude but she was also not welcoming and spoke so softly I had trouble hearing what she was saying. The lighting in the rooms is harsh and unpleasant in my opinion, but that may not bother everyone. With a little more care I think this place would be appealing, but at the moment it's rather barren. Possibly one should be grateful for all these details since they keep the price down?

They Hike Up Prices On Holidays. Do Not Pay Over $100 For This Hotel Stay. Labor Day pricing in force. We were under the gun, so that's why we ended up staying here otherwise we definitely would have gone elsewhere. It was late in the day and we had to find somewhere to go. The prices on various websites said this was around $119, but when we checked in they told us it was now $150! We were too tired to look elsewhere, and I know we wouldn't have stayed if we weren't so exhausted, but we definitely hesitated, and if the room hadn't looked clean, we would have left. I did see a cigarette burn hole on the bed cover, though. There was no hair dryer, but everything else worked, the fridge, the microwave, tv remote. And there was a nice light around the large mirror instead of above the mirror. There's no breakfast, but an empty, cloudy coffee pot in the lobby. There was street noise and loud, thumping music at night. On the plus side, this hotel had the nicest, fluffiest toilet paper. Still not worth $150 a night. We made up for the high cost by getting food at a nearby Whole Foods store instead of eating out at a restaurant that night. So restaurants in the area can thank North Bay Inn for their lack of business. Later on in our trip we stayed at the Marriott Courtyard San Francisco, which was the same price, but 100 times better. I get the fact that businesses can charge whatever the market will bear and on holiday weekends the later in the day it gets, the more they can charge. Just be aware of that when scouting hotels in this area. We were warned they were pricey here, but this was outrageous.

Grotty - even for a budget motel We’ve stayed in a few budget motels while criss-crossing California on a long road trip - and this was easily the worst of them. We don’t mind basic but we can’t handle outright filthy and this place had us wondering whether we could sleep in the bed. The sheets were stained, there was a clump of dark hair on one of the pillows and my partner even said she was going to sleep on her beach towel to avoid touching the bed! Eventually I asked for a change of sheets, we remade the (uncomfortable) bed and slept uneasily. The free breakfast is a sugary packaged pastry (don’t bother). The manager was friendly (which gets it from 1 to 2 stars) but I recommend you avoid.

Ho Hum Just your basic accommodations. Clean enough, good size room.. TV okay size. Microwave and minifridge. Open closet. Small table. Easy by room parking on single level platform. No lobby so no continental breakfast of any kind. Convenient store across street, fast food next door.

A Deranged Management I reserved a room at North Bay Inn, 1875 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA, US, 95401 for two nights; October 25 and October 26, 2019. Because of the Kincaid Fire, the airport was closed and my flight from Santa Rosa to Los Angeles was canceled both on October 27 and October 28. I had to request another night's lodging from the management of North Bay Inn. When I requested another night, I was shocked by the rude, inappropriate and incredibly angry response I received from the manager, an Asian Indian woman who would not give me her name. American Airlines called me at 9 AM to inform me of my flight cancelation. I immediately called the manager at 9:15 AM to request another night's stay. This horribly rude woman demanded that I present myself within 15 minutes to the office to surrender my room. I told her that I need some time to pack and dress and requested 30 minutes. She shouted that she had a party of five that needed my room in 30 minutes and if I wasn't out I would not be able to get another room. When I went to the office, she continued to shout at me that she had not had any sleep because of the Kincaid Fire and the owner of the inn was on the phone with her throughout the night. I responded in a calm tone that if she talked to her other guests the way she was talking to me, it was no wonder the manager kept her up all night, as I was sure a number of guests would have complained about her rude, nasty behavior. She denied being rude or shouting as she continued to shout at me. I said okay may I please have another room. She shouted again that I would have to pay "extra", even though the room was smaller than the one in which I had stayed the two previous nights. When I asked why the room was so expensive, she again shouted that it was all she had and I had to take it or leave. She rudely said, "Do you want the room or not? If you don't, get out, we're busy." I reluctantly took the room. Because of the shabby way I was treated, I assure you that I will never stay in this hotel or in any hotel operated by the owners of this establishment ever again. It is my hope that these unworthy innkeepers will lose business until the manager is replaced by a stable, professional, customer serving individual. As a post note, when my taxi arrived at the hotel to pick me up, this crazed women came running out of the office to demand what he was doing there? I ask you, since when is it strange to see a taxi enter a hotel parking lot? The woman is deranged.
