Nice clean hotel It was a clean well well-maintained interior of the hotel. Very close to the airport but we did not hear any planes. The room was a nice size, clean with a comfortable bed & all the shower products you would need. We needed extra washcloths & received them quickly. On the day of check out at 8:30 in the morning, they attempted to come into our room. When we called to complain instead of apologizing they started to make an excuse for housekeeping. It is not near anything except the airport however you can eat at their restaurant. Pool is indoors with sliders to the outside. The workout area is small but they had a Peleton. The parking lot of the hotel is terrible for parking & has several potholes.

Unusually and Uniformly Nice People in a Hotel with Great Service and Great Food I stayed with my two sons (14 and 12) at the Doubletree SarasotaBradenton Airport for five nights from July 11 to 16. I was totally impressed by the quality of the hotel, but even more by the quality of the people. We arrived later in the evening so we didn’t have much interaction until breakfast the following morning. We were greeted by Compton who looked liked he was running the place and we were presented with a spectacular array of buffet options. He was so kind and courteous and took care of us so well… for breakfast!!! We saw him later again that night at dinner. We had a great guy taking care of our table named Jeff who was likewise so courteous and also extremely efficient. Then I thought I found what would be the first flaw of the hotel… the Caesar salad. I mentioned that this was iceberg lettuce and not the correct lettuce for a Caesar salad. Who appeared… none other that Compton who explained it was indeed Caesar salad and brought out those long Romaine leaves showing me that I was in error. He schooled me, but in a very polite way. Compton knows what he is doing every day, perhaps too many hours a day! And did I mention, the food at the Runway Grill is amazingly good at embarrassingly good prices. I had the Friday night special of a half rack of rippingly, tasty good barbecue ribs with a side of au gratin potatoes for $15!!! Another person helping us with our dinner(s) was Emily, a young person we meet at reception who we found so friendly and with such an infectious smile. She was so very nice to us and it is clear that she is such a happy and caring person, and truly likes to laugh. Doesn’t end there… the people who look after cleaning our rooms were likewise so nice. Ronald was so friendly and admitted he liked to do extra special favors or errands for his friends (meaning guests), such a good attitude. And Maira also was such a nice person, but when I spoke Spanish to her she brightened up and offered us extra towels, bringing us ice, etc… she just wanted to help. We did have one hiccup when our toilet got clogged. We called the front desk and Brian the facilites manager showed up. What an upbeat guy he was. He was very efficient and friendly and it just reconfirmed that there is some sort of invisible hand selecting these wonderful people who took care of us so well for five days as we recuperated from our international flight. It was our last night and I knew it was so late that the only place I could use my Diamond Member $15 credit was at the bar. I dipped downstairs to take advantage of the credit and decided to order two cocktails as the bar/restaurant was closing its doors. I found two other fellow travellers nursing their drinks at the bar as the door closed for good. There were four of us… the fourth one was COMPTON! He closed the door and we watched the two big screens all four of us… bar closed and Compton wasn’t kicking anybody out. I was starting to think there were two Comptons, a breakfast Compton and a dinner/closing bar Compton but it is one and the same guy. If Doubletree is paying this guy by the hour, you would go broke! Really a fun and comfortable stay. My youngest son enjoyed watching the planes land and take off when we were in the room. To be clear, you really can not walk to a nearby restaurant, so enjoy the great menu at the Runway Grill or go for a drive. We chose the Runway Grill. Great Job Doubletree Sarasota/Bradenton!!!

Great stay by Sarasota Airport This place is great! The front desk were freindly helpfull and attentive. The pool is also nice indoor/outdoor. HotTub was perfect , not too hot. Drinks at bar were priced fairly for once , Bloody Mary was only 10 bucks , most hotels I've been to as nice as this, would be 14-17! The rooms were clean, tightly rolled towels, plenty of them, bed was comfortable, pillows nice, great stand-up shower with conditioners and soaps, even had dispenser on counter for lotion! wow. very comforatable visit and a great value for 165 on Priceline. Cant say much more , I will be back there again!

Highway Robbery ! At almost $400 a night after tax, this hotel is a HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! First, let me start off by saying I was traveling for work and flew directly to SRQ so the hotel location made sense to me and my needs. However, that was the only decent thing about this property. For almost $400 a night at the bare minimum I would expect my bed to be made daily and towels to be refreshed when necessary, BUT this property only "tidies" up your room every other day, meaning for my two night stay, I never had my bed made or my dirty towels replaced with clean ones. Next, if I could give 0 stars just for the shower alone, I would. It never gets hot, and the water pressure is absolutely terrible! I have water hoses at home with better pressure than that! If you have long, thick hair like me, save your money and go elsewhere because you will never get the shampoo out. Lastly, I would expect some type of breakfast to be included in this property's absurd rate, but NOPE! You can purchase a sit down breakfast or the buffet option for an additional $16+ a day. I'm sorry, but this is probably the worst double tree I have ever stayed in with lousy front desk staff that seem annoyed at doing the bare minimum of their job. The 1 star review is for the comfy bed. That's it. My opinion, save your money and book a motel because the service and treatment will be the same.

Pretty good, almost a 5 star rating. First, I want to specifically express how impressed I was with the staff. Everyone were genuine and friendly. Very helpful in all areas! I was a little disappointed in some of the features in the room. You could tell this was a remodel over an old Holiday Inn. There wasn’t much water pressure in the room and the fixtures didn’t work. Only one lamp would turn on. The lobby is very clean and the bar/outdoor area are fantastic for kicking back and relaxing. There is even a fire at night.
