Disappointed Our biggest disappointment was the fact that they do not clean the room and resupply towels or glasses unless you request this at least 24 hours in advance. We were not made aware of this when we booked directly online nor when we checked in. We also would prefer a coffee maker instead of an espresso machine. For the price we paid we will not return as we believe there is better service at other local hotels.

Awesome Hotel We stayed in a suite at the Insignia Hotel and it was so amazing!!! There was 2 large rooms, a living room and dining room and then the bedroom. The bathroom was in-between the 2. It was very clean and very welcoming. The girls at the desk were also very kind and helpful. We had a water view room, the water view unfortunately is being taken away by a condo that is being built but we loved the room regardless. The whole hotel is very nice and modern. I will be back to this hotel.

Superb Extremely comfortable accommodations, super clean, front line staff very accommodating & helpful! Ability to walk To some restaurants & shops is a bonus! We highly recommend staying here if you’re in Sarnia!

Nice place My wife and I had a short stay at the Insignia as part of an end of summer getaway. Upon arrival we were given a friendly and efficient welcome from the front desk staff and then quickly made our way to our room, consisting of a king bed, smallish bathroom, TV, pull out couch, minibar, robe, Nespresso coffee maker, and other amenities. The room was bright and clean. I found the bed comfortable but the pillows a bit too squishy for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. The only true if small con was the noisiness of the in-room air conditioning. Due to Ontario being in Stage 3 of the Covid19 pandemic response the hotel sanitizes and prepares your room before your arrival after which no staff will enter, meaning no housekeeping during your stay, which was fine by us and seems to be the most reasonable approach for keeping guests and staff safe. We had plenty of towels, toiletries, etc so it all worked out well. There is an LCBO across the street for adult beverages. One block to the west is the waterfront trail at Bayshore Park, on which you can quite easily walk along the river to the marina and places like Alternate Grounds Dockside for lunch or dinner. Further up the road is the lush if rather flat Sarnia Golf Club as well as the somewhat stoney Canatara beach, featuring water with aquamarine colours normally reserved for the Caribbean. Overall the hotel is clean, modern, and of good value. I definitely recommend it.

Wonderful hotel and staff My husband and I stayed at the Insignia hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff is super friendly, professional and helpful. The wifi is super good. Nice comfortable room. L'ocitane toiletries are amazing. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel is very good. The location is very convenient. 5 minute walk to tourist riverfront walking/biking path. 5 min drive to Canatara park and beach. Cons: noisy A/C
