Good stay Hotel was clean and in a good area. Breakfast was a grab and go (not an issue). Kind and courteous staff. The hotel room as well as the common areas were spotless. The hotel had a clean and disinfected smell. _

So So Fairfield Inn This is an older slightly run down Fairfield in a sketchy part of Savannah. Inside the hotel was OK, some worn rugs and musty small not too bad. There was almost never anyone at the front desk, they were always in the back which caused several guests to have to wait. Brealfast options were very limited also. The are is full of lower priced motels and cheap gas stations. Likely most people just spending the night coming off I-95 which is right here. There was nothing wrong with this property, it is just older and attracts a rougher crowd.

Not Very Clean! I made this reservation for a business visit. The hallway carpet smelled old and musty and the room wasn't clean at all. The sink had mold in it. The coffee maker had a cockroach crawl out of it when I tried to open up the water reservoir, so I could make coffee. Especially during COVID, nothing gave me the impression that it was clean, let alone sanitized.

The Worst "Marriott" Fairfield Inn & Suites Ever!!!! I stayed here in March 2021 and this is the worst Fairfield Inn & Suites that I have ever stayed in. The room sizes are too small to be called suites, the carpets have stains on them, the bathrooms are so small that the sinks are located on the outside of the bathrooms and the bathroom vent fans are so loud that they sound like a motorcycles exhaust pipes when you turn on the light. The TV's in these so called suites are only a 19" or 20" size and the remote doesn't work very well. I went to the front desk and told them that my TV remote wasn't working well and they told me that all of the cable boxes are located on the backside of the TV's and that they always have problems with the remotes not working well and that l need to just keep pointing the remote at the TV and wave my arms around until I can find a good signal. I then asked the front desk agent would I have to get out of the bed at night and wave my arms around ever time l want to change the channel or adjust the volume? Her response to me was; "YES" that's what you have to do. My response to her was; "That is so Ridiculous!!!" Later that night I wanted a blanket for my bed, so l called the front desk and No one answered the phone. 20 minutes later l went to the front desk and still No one was there. I even waited 10 more minutes and still No one came. I then went back to my room and 42 minutes later I went back to the front desk and still No one was there. I don't think that anyone was working at the front desk that night. "What kind of customer services is that?" I am very disappointed with Marriott for having a hotel that fall below the standards that we expect from them. I will never stay here again!

Below Marriott Standards Stayed at this Fairfield in late November. Arrived just after 9:30PM, trash cans outside were overflowing with garbage, not a welcoming sight. Several guest without masks in lobby area, not sure if masks were required indoors in GA at this time. Front desk was friendly but inexperienced, a simple question about parking was answered with "I'm new here, I don't really know.". The room on the first floor was dated. The shower and toilet area were not kept, I am being generously kind here. Although the Marriott website assured sanitary wipes are available in every room, none were in the room nor the front desk. My wife asked for another room but was declined. Needless to say, we did not shower and left very early the next morning. While heading to our car in the morning, several guest again without masks in the hallway. The side door at the end of the corridor leading to the parking lot had not been cleaned for awhile. A sticky residue was on the door handle. Thankfully, we had sanitary wipes in our car. As a Marriott Gold member and a very loyal customer, I hope that hotel is reevaluated by Corporate to keep up with Marriott expectations. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel at this time.
