Loved the villa! Staying in the villas is a must and making use of the quieter morning time at the waterpark and pool helped a ton. Food is not great, but we planned to cook most of our meals at the villa. Dunkin Donuts and ice cream was solid and supplemented our food from home. Water park is busy, loud, and fun - arriving early was best for our crew of younger kids (7, 2 and 2). The villa was beautiful, clean and super functional for us - bigger/more pots and pans are needed (the Rachael Ray set was Teflon and scratched), there was no whisk, and more than 1 dishwasher pod per day was needed (they only supplied 1). If you have little kids, bring a stroller or wagon, and be aware there is no oven for nuggets. I wish they'd add a toaster oven! Comfy beds, REALLY nice bathrooms and a lovely villa lobby for checkin. Overall a great trip and fun memory - I'd return but would only stay at the villas.

Unprofessional Room Service Personnel My family and I have been going to this resort for a number of years, and overall our experiences have been positive ones. We came over the weekend to celebrate my son’s birthday. However this trip ended on a bad note. My family and I went downstairs for breakfast and when we came back upstairs a cleaning lady was inside our room. It was not yet time for checkout and I did not ask for services yet. When I explained all of this she refused to let me inside my room, barricading the door with her cleaning cart and told my husband that she already cleaned. She then proceeded to open up another person’s room which was still dirty and suggest I use that bathroom!! It did not use that bathroom. I felt degraded and unsafe. And on top of it all the lady was rude and acted as if this was our fault. Formal complaints were made and apologizes were given, however it was not enough to remove the damage that was done. Very very disappointed!

Went Downhill with $65/night additional FEEs and Parking Wars I've been going to the Pocono Great Wolf Lodge for over 15 years. It used to be really good when it was a much smaller resort. Since the additional buildings, it has become quite crowded and parking is really challenging especially during peak times. What is even WORSE is the additional FEES of $65 ($40 resort fee, $25 parking) PER NIGHT not included in your room cost. So if your room is $300 per night, it is really $365 plus tax so closer to $400. I don't know why they just don't bake these costs into the room rate like they used to do so no surprises. They need to follow Disney's lead and just charge everything in the room rate even if it means increasing the rate. Is anyone really going there without a car? Got to be pretty rare as this is the Poconos. The water park is still good, staff is great and upkeep there is also good. The towel checkout/checkin line is a little annoying. You used to just be able to grab a towel on the way in and then throw it in a bin on the way out of the water park. Best to bring your own towel so I guess that is their intention. There are upkeep issues in some other common areas. The lobby for example has a few couches and I saw 2 couches right in the middle of the lobby that had 2 very big noticeable tears in them. Tells you all you need to know about the priority of resort upkeep. The Fireside restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. It was a tad pricey but food was much better than we expected. One person in our party has food allergies that the staff was able to navigate around. Shout out to our trip MVP Trinity who gave us menu advice/suggestions, help with allergies and provided first rate service. The Great Wolf app makes things easier with quick service food ordering. We ordered some pizza late night in our rooms from the app and pizza was ready when I walked down to pick it up. Also like that there are 2 Dunkin Donuts (1 legit, 1 express) and you can also use the app to order ahead. As for the room, we were in the main/original building and it has definitely become a bit dilapidated. The outside sliding door lock was broken and did not lock. The front door had similar issues but at least it did lock. The decor in our Grizzly Bear suite was so bland. The bedrooms have no pictures/etc on the walls where you cannot tell from the room itself that you are at the Great Wolf Lodge. Aside from the fireplace, little effort was made on the theming of this room. Must admit, we are a bit spoiled from going to Disney World Resorts where theming is on point and upkeep is impeccable.

Pretty Mountain Resort First time stay for family of 4 - 1 night 7/10/25. This was the final night of our Pocono Mountain vacation. We had stayed somewhere else all week and just needed somewhere to stay the last night due to the previous place being way too expensive on a Thursday night. We have gone in the past to the wolf in Sandusky and also Williamsburg. I will say this one in Poconos is much nicer than the one in Sandusky. It’s surrounded by woods and really gives you a mountain feel. We had a bad experience in Williamsburg and really haven’t gone back to a great wolf since but the rate was good here and I figured since it was a pretty place and was a good deal we would go. What we liked: the outside of the whole place is beautiful, surrounded by woods and with the new villas. It looked clean and inviting. The price for a Thursday night at 169 was not bad at all I don’t know if this included the resort fee it probably didn’t but even then we still came in around $200 so for a decent hotel these days that’s not bad. my kids are teens now, but there is a ton for younger kids to do so if you’re bringing little kids, you will be entertained however there is a cost for just about anything outside of the waterpark so bring extra money ! They did have bingo, which was free and we had fun playing that so thank you It’s been about seven years since I’ve been to last great wolf and I love their kiosk check in system and how they send you a QR code. I think they’ve really done well in this department. The check-in was fast, easy and efficient. What we didn’t like : There are only two elevators in the main area. I don’t know if there are other elevators down toward the end of the hotel, but our room was toward the center and one of the two elevators was down which created a major mass for people checking in who have to use an elevator with carts and strollers things like that that can’t always be just taken down the stairs I don’t care for the parking fee and honestly because of it I would not have stayed more than one night anyway ..there is no need to charge people when parking on your own property and things costing an arm and leg. You’re going to get money out of people in other ways - do away with the damn parking fee ! 25.00 is crazy. Our room happened to be on the first floor toward the back of the building and because of one elevator, we decided to park in the back so we could just come and go from our room since we had a patio we received a nasty note the morning we were leaving that we could be towed. I don’t think This is necessary. We weren’t hurting anything back there and with your elevator situation it made it so much easier to load the car. I saw the one side of the road was a fire lane, which is totally understandable but if you don’t want people parking back there, you need to post signs. also with paying $25 to park it kind of makes you feel like as long as there’s not a sign. I’m gonna park here. I’m paying to park here. Side Notes: we stayed Thursday to Friday thinking it wouldn’t be too crowded ..we were wrong…now I understand it’s summer and maybe with the good rates that’s why the place was absolutely packed. I don’t know if they were at capacity, but if they weren’t, I would really hate to see this place at capacity the crowding really deterred my kids from wanting to spend any real time in the waterpark. Keep in mind too with it being a nice summer day. A lot of people were outside so if you were coming in the winter and you didn’t have the outside area, I wouldn’t want to be there you’re talking about at all. It was ok for

Disappointed Hotel rooms are outdated, and the food is below average. The pools are extremely crowded with kids. We booked a room with a balcony, but the balcony door wouldn't lock . We reported the issue and it got fixed at late night. One woild expect a spotless functional room as the check in time is late (4 pm). There are also hidden fees. Parking 25 usd wtf? Check out at 11 am? And you have to pay 85 usd to extend it till 2!! It is an OK waterpark if you have younger kids ( less than 10)
