An absolutely perfect trip for grandparents and grandchildren. An absolutely perfect trip for grandparents and grandchildren. We surprised our two oldest granddaughters (10 and 9 years old) with a 3 day trip to Great Wolf. We reserved a villa which we loved and we had an absolutely perfect time. Everything was beyond our expectations. The villa was beautiful and clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed game nights and dinners cooked on the grill. Our granddaughters felt spoiled and they deserve it. The water park was busy and full and clean and fun. The attendants were very kind and helpful. I would strongly encourage you to reserve a cabana because that allows you to have a home base at the water park and it also gives grandparents a comfortable place to rest and relax while the little ones play.

Disappointed Hotel rooms are outdated, and the food is below average. The pools are extremely crowded with kids. We booked a room with a balcony, but the balcony door wouldn't lock . We reported the issue and it got fixed at late night. One woild expect a spotless functional room as the check in time is late (4 pm). There are also hidden fees. Parking 25 usd wtf? Check out at 11 am? And you have to pay 85 usd to extend it till 2!! It is an OK waterpark if you have younger kids ( less than 10)

Loved the villa! Staying in the villas is a must and making use of the quieter morning time at the waterpark and pool helped a ton. Food is not great, but we planned to cook most of our meals at the villa. Dunkin Donuts and ice cream was solid and supplemented our food from home. Water park is busy, loud, and fun - arriving early was best for our crew of younger kids (7, 2 and 2). The villa was beautiful, clean and super functional for us - bigger/more pots and pans are needed (the Rachael Ray set was Teflon and scratched), there was no whisk, and more than 1 dishwasher pod per day was needed (they only supplied 1). If you have little kids, bring a stroller or wagon, and be aware there is no oven for nuggets. I wish they'd add a toaster oven! Comfy beds, REALLY nice bathrooms and a lovely villa lobby for checkin. Overall a great trip and fun memory - I'd return but would only stay at the villas.

Mixed review First time at GWL and spent 4 nights as a family with a 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old. They kids had fun and the slides and water was fun for them. As for the adults, we are pickier , so I do have some gripes. First, my toddler caught a fever the second night, which I guess can’t be totally blamed on the lodge since toddlers aren’t the most hygienic and eat off the table. We got the kid cabin room and had a sofa bed. Mattress of the sofa bed was very flimsy and thin. The ceilings are so thing and you can hear the kids running around for hours on end. The staff won’t make up bed, but they do however keep your towels well stocked. Food at the buffet is decent, but overpriced. We got an outdoor cabana for 2 days and the staff was very attentive. When we first arrived, a huge section of the rug by the porch was damp and I mentioned it to staff and they said they’d check it out and never did. I didn’t bother following up since it was too much of a hassle to move at that point. All in all, I have mixed feelings about this place. I don’t think staying more than 2-3 nights is worth it.

Safety Concern—I’ve Been Ignored for Nearly Three Weeks It has now been over two weeks since a deeply distressing incident occurred at your Poconos location, and I’ve yet to receive a formal response from anyone—either onsite or from corporate. My 8-year-old son was held under water by another child in the water park. I witnessed it happen right before my eyes. A water park manager later told him, “I’m glad you’re okay, buddy. Sorry that happened to you.” That’s not enough. That is not an appropriate response to what could have been a fatal event. I was later told the water park was busy and a single lifeguard was watching two areas. That is not a valid excuse. It’s a dangerous staffing failure. I approached management first thing the next morning to file a complaint, doing my best to remain composed and not disrupt other families’ experiences—because I truly wanted to handle this quietly and respectfully. This is supposed to be a family resort, and I didn’t want to cause unnecessary panic. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with a manager that day, I was told, “They don’t want to speak to you since it happened in the water park.” That response was not only dismissive but incredibly insensitive. I also followed up on social media and submitted my booking number. Still—no action. No follow-up. No formal outreach. Let me be very clear: I did not want to escalate this publicly. But ignoring this situation forces my hand. Something must change. Saying the resort was “busy” or that you were “understaffed” is a cop-out—and it is the worst thing to say to a mother whose child was held under water at your resort. What happened is not okay. The lack of urgency and accountability afterward is even worse. Do better—and tell me how you will do better. I refuse to let this go unaddressed. Another child should not have to suffer for this resort’s failure to act. No formal incident report was taken.
