Stayed here winter 2023. We were booked-in for 8 nights at this hotel, to be able to explore quite a bit of the greater-Phoenix area. Our room faced the parking lots, which was great as we could see our rental car, and we just needed to take a door, nearby our room, to get out to it. Our room was satisfactory, and it was great having a fridge as we bought alot for it being here for over a week. The pool area was quite basic, being just off of the parking lot, but walls around it, so you can't see the lot. The breakfast room was handy for us, and just a short distance down the hall. It was basically the same items every morning, except the eggs changed, and sausage patties, changed to links. We could sometimes get extra coffee in the afternoons too, in this area. This hotel is in a busy area regarding the 2 main streets nearby, their busy roads and intersections! This location is so far north, that it takes time to get to many of the popular areas further south. We chose this hotel, as it was the least expensive for the Scottsdale area, and with staying for a week, we needed to save money.

New Challenges for Visually Impaired Guests Recently, this hotel is needlessly creating obstacles for visually-impaired guests. Breaking ADA guidelines? The latest 'innovations' are a new door key with uncertain orientation and a notepaper with visually disturbing background design. There is a very small triangle on the key for those with keen visual acuity; it may provide a clue. But the text on the Key is inverted and there is no tactile orientation. Like others, I had to return to the Front Desk to get guidance. I have attached photos of: the new Sleep Inn key, the distracting notepaper; and an example of good design from a different chain (tactile notch marked)

Better than Expected This is a mid-priced hotel in busy north Scottsdale. The rooms are a little tired but everything functioned as it should and the service was top notch. A decent comp breakfast. Nothing fancy here and there is a nice Hampton Inn right next door. but if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that meets all expectations, this would not be a bad choice.

Good Value; All Aspects Exceeded Expectations I was in town during the Spring "high season" and most hotels were super expensive. I selected this property for its reasonable rate and location; and quite frankly, did not have very high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised and found that the hotel offered good value for the money. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is a bit dated, the room and common areas were all clean. The room, while not remarkable, was well laid out. There was a comfortable task chair and large desk, which I appreciated. Complimentary breakfast and the fitness centers were all fine. In sum, everything worked well.

Here for surgery and it worked great The gentleman who checked us in was cordial and accommodating. I was there for surgery, and they allowed my husband a late checkout. The room was small but nicely decorated. Everything was clean, and the towels were fresh and smelled really good. The walk-in shower was a bit dated but worked fine. The beds were too squishy for our tastes but were overall comfortable. The heater worked well and was quite a bit quieter than most hotel heaters. The WiFi works pretty good. Oddly, Verizon coverage was weak at 4g 1-2 bars. There is a limited breakfast, and it goes fast. It was quiet since the hotel is back off main road a little. We would stay here again.
