Nice property, great location, great stay We booked three one bedroom king suites for our party of ten (three adults, seven kids of various ages). The rooms had lake views, were clean and comfy, and the pool and breakfast were fine. The hotel also let us park our oversized Sprinter in their delivery area under the hotel, since it wouldn’t fit in their garage. The staff were nice and attentive. We enjoyed walking across the street to walk around lake Union, and the kids enjoyed the nearby playground, and we had several picnics over there using DoorDash. No complaints! A great stay.

Overpriced, inflexible policies, don't empower their people Highs: Location right of highway Marriott property so at least I got points Lows: FOR THE PRICE OF THIS HOTEL STAY ELSEWHERE Rules that don't make sense Overpriced for what you get Loud street Dated property had just has cosmetic updates but is sub par for price I only stayed here because it was a Marriott. For the money, go stay elsewhere as this property should be at least $75 less for what you get. Room or basic at best, location is right off highway, door to lobby are locked at night and you have to ring or use a key to get in, and the street outside is loud. I was awaken to a group standing around watching one of their friends do doughnuts in the street. They also have inflexible rules and don't empower their people to make rational decisions. Case in point, I have a Bonvoy profile, and made the reservation via the app and secured it with my Credit Card. I went out to dinner and left my card at the restaurant. Upon check in they wouldn't let me use the card on file, yet if I no showed they would charge that card. Doesn't make sense for a frequent Bonvoy stayer like me. You deal with the traveling public, people lose things like credit cards, empower your people to make adjustments to rules if it makes sense. Luckily, the other person working the desk knew a workaround and had my check in on my mobile app. Its confusing because some Marriott properties don't even require the card when you check in, they just use the card on file.

Tough to be a guest here This was the fourth hotel we stayed in during our time in the area and it was my least favorite. It certainly was not a relaxing stay. First, when you arrive you cannot just walk into the reception area. You have to ring a doorbell and wait for someone at the front desk to come and let you in. I don't know why they have this weird policy, but I assume they are afraid that this is not the safest area. I'm not sure why else the doors would be locked. We did hear people outside our window screaming expletives for a long time during the night, so maybe they have the doors locked for this reason. Just make sure that you do not go outside or to the parking garage without your room key because you won't be able to get back in. My teenage son went out the front door to look at the lake, and even though there was a hotel employee right by the door, the employee would not let him back in the hotel. I had to go down with my room key to get him. Very inconvenient. In the evening when we were getting ready to go to sleep, we started to make out the sofa bed and there were no linens for it in the room. We had to call down twice and wait an hour for the linens to be delivered. Don't know why the linens wouldn't be in the room like every other hotel. This was an inconvenience because we had to wait around an hour for the hotel staff after we were ready to go to sleep. As other reviewers have mentioned, the views from the "lake view" rooms are obscured by trees, so it is nothing like what is pictured. I think the only way you can get a good lake view is if you get one of the king suites with the wraparound balcony. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a lake view and our view was obscured by trees. The hotel serves breakfast, but you have to wait in a long line for one employee who will give you different items that you have to take back to your room and prepare. You have to toast your own bread, make your own oatmeal, etc. This is not convenient and is another weird procedure that makes your stay less than enjoyable. Other hotels we stayed in had a regular breakfast that you could enjoy in their breakfast area. Again, not sure why this hotel's procedure is different from others we stayed in. And make sure that you don't forget your mask at any time. We always had our masks with us, but the ear loop strap broke on one of my kids' masks and I went to the hotel front desk to ask for a new mask. They make you pay $1 for a mask. Again, this is very different from the Hyatt where we stayed before this hotel. The front desk workers at the Hyatt were always welcoming and would happily provide you a new mask at no charge anytime you asked for one. Not so for this Residence Inn. All the workers just seemed very tired and unhappy. I felt like we were a burden to them and they did not go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed or relaxed. This was also one of the more expensive hotels we stayed in. With parking and tax, our room was $330 for one night. Parking is $39 per night, which comes out to $50 with the taxes. Definitely not worth the price of the room given the poor service. I will say that the hotel lobby is very pretty and the room was nice except for the obscured view and the people yelling outside. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

Your Mistake, Not Mine I am Lifetime Titanium with Marriott Bonvoy. I booked a room at this property for my family's Mother's Day weekend. Since this property was built, it has been a favorite spot for a staycation. Have always found it to be a good value. I used Suite Night Awards to upgrade. When I arrived at check-in I was told the property had been in contact with corporate and my upgrade was not going to be honored because the room I had selected was not eligible for an upgrade. If that's the case, why was it offered? It had been confirmed a couple of days prior to my arrival. Since there was a change to my reservation I felt that should have been communicated to me prior to my arrival. It was not reflected in my account's online reservation and was still showing the upgrade as being confirmed afterward. The front desk agent was rude and very unapologetic. Treated me as if I had made a mistake with how I made my reservation. I could not have been in error. The upgrade was offered, I had the required Suite Night Awards, I made the request, it was confirmed. I was offered a different room which was not satisfactory, so since we're local, we left. After contacting Bonvoy customer service. My Suite Night Awards were returned and I was given 20,000 points as a goodwill gesture. Ruined what was to be a fun family outing to celebrate Mother's Day. The lack of communication and customer service was very disappointing. Once it was determined they had made a mistake, don't put it on me as the customer as if I made the mistake. The upgrade should have been honored.

Amazing Vacation My friends and I were looking for a decent hotel to stay in for the weekend and we wanted something with two bedrooms. Luckily we found this hotel it is a little further from pikes place but it’s definitely worth it. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. They recommended Dukes to us for dinner which was within walking distance and the food was really good. The room was very clean and big, it had two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a balcony. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a good stay in Seattle and wants to be water front. I will definitely be coming back.
