Beaten-up, worn out and failing apart hotel - far from Gouverneurs standard Last stayed at this hotel 17 years ago and this hotel has not been renovated since…… Everything from the paint, furniture, carpets, bathrooms need to be refreshed and redone. This hotel feels like an old motel along the highway and is far from the standard that I have been used to with the Gouverneurs.

Hotel not for sports people I was at this hotel on a business trip. The Hotel is not new (it seems from the 80's) but nevertheless it is clean and well maintained. In general it is a comfortable hotel, with restaurant which is really handy when the snow appears in the town and you want to avoid moving the car (it has also another 2 places in the close proximity to eat, which can be reached on foot). Rooms have no safe, which is nearly a must have these days. Personnel is really nice. The most disappointing topic is that is says that has gym, but this is not true. It has a room with 3 exercise machines: a home gym, stepper and bicycle. From that the bicycle is blocked, the stepper resets continuously and you fall to the ground if not exercising like an olympic athlete and the home gym has missing parts.. totally useless gym. Indeed in the gym there is a poster apologizing for the state of the cardio machines and explaining that new ones will be installed, but taking into account the days in which we live that we can have everything instantaneously, I doubt this is a temporal situation...Very disappointed with this issue as in a place at -12ºC is quite difficult to find any alternative to practice sport. I would not recommend this hotel if you plan to take advantage of sport zone. If not is a comfortable place.

Stopover Stayed there many years ago and had wanted to see if it still had class ..... DID NOT LET ME DOWN!!!! Great checkin and friendly !!! Room with 2 big comfy beds !!!!! This morning went for breakfast in the restaurant and Monique( I think ) was very friendly and service was top notch !!! Delicious breakfast !!!!!! I was not let down !!!!! I will be back again !!! Thank you

Third Stay I’ve stayed here either solo or with family over the past 15 years. It hasn’t changed a bit. Staff are friendly but don’t expect modern rooms. No complaints overall, rooms are generally quiet and other guests are very respective. I’ve yet to eat in the restaurant, and if there’s ever been a discount for guests, as other reviewers say, that’s news to me! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay anywhere else but here when in town.

Excellent Hotel and Service. Tired decor First of all there is not a lot of selection in Sept Iles. So choices are limited. This hotel is due for a renovation. Not that things are raggedy but the decor is tired. The food and service were great though.
