Understaffed and Room Not Clean We made an online reservation last Thursday, and arrived at 11:30 pm Friday night. Our room was not ready. The employee apologized, and we were told, “We’re trying to get someone in there to clean it for you. We’re understaffed.” We waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes. When we received our room keys, we were told that someone would be bringing our linens to the room. Once in the room, we found that our king bed was two full beds that had no linen on them. There were long, dark hairs all over the bathtub, with a large clump of hair in the drain. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned, and only had the linens removed for laundering. The hotel security guard arrived with clean linens, which was not part of her job duties. She was just trying to help, but we were not going to pay nearly $300 to stay in an uncleaned room and make the bed ourselves at 12:15 in the morning. We returned to the front desk and asked for a refund. They could not print a confirmation of the cancelled payment, so we disputed the charge to our credit card. We were given the general manager’s business card, but when I called the number, it was for a different person identified as the general manager.

Horrible For those contemplating a stay at this property, I would suggest paying attention to the latest reviews. How this property maintains its DoubleTree flag from Hilton is beyond me. We were part of a wedding and as a group had 10 rooms. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the front desk by a huge dose of attitude - more on that later. The property has not been updated in a LONG time. All of the common space and the rooms had a noticeable order of wet laundry that had been sitting in a washing machine for three days. Half of the rooms did not have any air conditioning. Outside temp was close to 90 and decently high humidity. We later found out that half of the hotel did not have AC. The toilet in our room did not work. After asking about it several times over the course of the day, it became apparent they were not going to do anything about the AC, the toilet or anything else. There were no operating ice machines. There is a bar in the lobby which didn't have a credit card swipe in the bar area. Anytime somebody wanted to pay their bill, the bartender had to walk to the front desk to swipe the card. On the second night, the bar was closed as the bartender (apparently the only one) quit after the previous night. After the first encounter at the front desk and observing the rest of these issues, my guess is the staff is completely beat down having to deal with angry customers. Several of the staff told us these were ongoing issues and nothing new. Most of them were friendly and attempting to be positive. There is more, including mold in the bathroom and murky pool water, but I'll leave it at that. This spot was recommended by the wedding venue which is why we chose to stay there - as well as the Doubletree brand - which is now suspect. There are 20 other hotels within a 10-minute drive of this place and guessing any of them would be a better choice.

Should not be allowed to be a Hilton property I picked this hotel because I used to stay here all the time for work. Grant it, that was 10 years ago. I can honestly say the rooms have not been touched since then. This hotel is in need of a serious makeover. When we arrived, I asked for our water bottles as I have been a long time Hilton Honors member. Since the pandemic, my job travel has been less and I’ve switched over to Marriott as my preferred choice (because of repeated bad experiences at Hilton). I’m a silver member right now, water is not given out at this property for silver. But the manager was nice and gave me two bottles anyways. There were no cookies available, which has always been a nice treat on arrival. When we got to the room, we. Noticed our refrigerator door was open. It wouldn’t close because of the large ice block in the top. It needed to be defrosted. Maintenance had already left for the day (at 3:30 pm) and the front desk said it couldn’t be addressed until morning. The room was worn and dirty. The exhaust I. The bathroom was clogged with dirt. There were mascara stains on one of the pillowcases. The carpet is heavily stained. This hotel is in a motel class at its current state.

Terrible Experience I had a confirmed and paid for reservation at this hotel. When I showed up at 11 PM, I was told the reservation was canceled by the hotel because they had no available rooms. The hotel did not even have the courtesy of calling me or otherwise advising me in advance that they canceled the reservation, so I ended up showing up with my family and had to start looking for another hotel late at night. Hilton’s general customer service number was completely unhelpful as well. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

Not up to Double Tree Standards This was a disappointing stay. This hotel for its price was missing many items, filthy throughout and staff was so very lackluster. The carpets were dirty throughout hallways and our room. The stairwells which we used, the handrails were black with dirt and carpets also filthy. Our room did not have bedding for the pullout couch and towels only for 2 people. It took 3 trips to the front desk and each time - no apologies or effort to make our stay better. Both days, the lobby bathroom was unclean, without toilet paper, trash over flowing and without paper towels. Also the door surfaces (pale cream) were black with dirt. For what this room cost we could have stayed at a much cleaner, better cared for hotel for less.
