A Huge Disappointment! We had a Softball Tournament in Shelbyville on 7-13 & 7-14. Our coach reserved 10 rooms the week before for this tournament under his name. I was one of the first ones to call on 7-5-2024 to reserve one of the rooms he had held for 7-13-2024. She gave me a confirmation number and thought all was good. I get there to check in on the 13th and come to find out they had charged me on 7-05-2024 for a stay that night instead of 7-13-2024. After telling the manager at the desk that I reserved a room and all he proceeds to tell me that it was for 7-5-2024 and that they have no more rooms for that evening. I proceeded to tell him that I spoke to a woman on the 5th and reserved a room for the 13th. All I wanted to do is get my money back and he gives me some lame excuse about I need to contact a manager on Monday. On Monday my wife called to get a refund and to talk to the supposed manager and has since got a huge run around. I never use Econo Lodge because it is never a good experience. I looked it up before reserving the room because the Picture... Above made it look like a fairly nice hotel. Let me tell you, This picture is not what this place looks like a huge misinformed example of what this place looks like. I just want my money back and to let people know of how bad this place is false advertised. Some of the team got rooms and complained about how they smelt like smoke really bad even though it was supposed to be non smoking. Very disappointed! Don't make the same mistake.

Okay not great Not terrible but could definitely use some updates. Smelled a bit musty. Sheets seemed clean. Would I stay again? I think I’d pay a little more and stay at a different place. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but edible. Staff were pleasant.

Not good Awful service! In town for a softball tournament. Showed up to check in to hotel beforehand and was told computers were down. Told them we would be back after the games. When we arrived back we were told (mind you we had our rooms booked for about a month) were told our room is gone and has been sold to someone else. That was the last room available and we had to drive around looking for a another hotel to stay at. Lady at front did not care at all to make things right. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Hotel itself was not worth the service or stay.

A nice, clean place to rest and enjoy yourself. I will return to Econolodge very soon. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel. I needed some R&R and this hotel went above and beyond in making sure I had a great stay. First off, it's clean. Secondly, the hotel staff is great. The king mattress I slept on was very relaxing. I didn't want to get out of bed. The hot breakfast buffet this place offers has a lot of items to choose from and is outstanding.

Awful! Don’t do it! So stayed at the Econo lodge to be able to use their pool. The pool was great but that was it. There was dried urine on the toilet seat. Soap scum/residue on the bath tub (which was pink and the soap provided was blue). The tub was peeling and had black residue at the bottom. I will FOREVER kick myself for not taking pictures. The breakfast was cold. The room smelled stale etc. within 20 min of me leaving the facility after check out I was charged 250$ for smoking in the room. The room was NEVER smoked in not once. My mom froze all night going outside which I’m sure if they looked at the cameras that it’s posted they have they’d see that. The receptionist said several things when I called: 1.) they catch people smoking once or twice a week. Which is my problem bc now you’re blaming me for the smell? 2.) he said he smelled cigarette as well. Sure you did. 3.) there was nothing he could do about the charge but if I brought 250$ in cash he could stop it. Hmmm. 4.) ALSO HE SAID THE ROOM WAS SMOKED IN BEFORE HE EVER ASKED MY NAME OR ROOM NUMBER. I WAS NOT expecting the ritz but I truly think this is a scam and would NEVER suggest anyone go there. I have contacted the better business bureau already. I’ve attempted contacting the website I made the reservation through. And was told the manager would be in Friday for me to speak to bc he is in “meetings”. If the room has been smoked in I’d bite it but It wasn’t and I hope they’re all proud of themselves I truly do. I want my money back for sure bc I think this is a fraudulent charge.
