July 4th Disaster My lady and I needed a place to stay and we saw this hotel online and thought it looked safe. In my opinion, you are better off sleeping in your vehicle on a safe street. The reviews with low ratings are all really valid with their comments. I Checked in after 1:30am. Inconveniently, The front desk clerk took a long time to check us in. The pictures online were misleading! The pillows smelled like piss. There was no fire alarm (which is dangerous) and the walls and floors were visibly dirty. The sheets had stains. Called the front desk for assistance and there was no answer. I was so uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep til 5am then got up at 8am. I smelled a faint urine smell all over the bed. My lady gave me a hug and I noticed her sleeping clothes picked up the urine smell from the bed. I complained at check-out and the clerk told me not to come back after I told him about my disaster of a night trying to get rest. I kindly asked for 50% back and he said I call the General Manager. I waited for the GM to show up and the GM defended the establishment, and he said that because I did not make it a big deal when I checked in then I do not deserve a refund. I checked in at 1:30 am and was exhausted; when I needed help there was no one around.

I was duped big time! I reserved a room for two nights based on the pictures and the location. The room was on the second floor but the elevator was out of order. No one offered to help me with my suitcase. When I entered the room I was shocked seeing the condition of the room. If I had time to look for another place to stay, I'd forgo of the charge and would be gone! It was so dingy that I didn't dear to touch anything. The only armchair in the room was badly stained and dirty looking that I didn't go even close to it, forget sitting on it. Wires hanging from the ceiling where a smoke detector should have been. There was an dirty iron board, but no iron. There wasn't even a box of tissue in the room. Add to all this, the first night the bathroom ceiling was leaking and they had to move me to another room at 9 pm. It was an awful experience. The place was a dump; don't stay there!

Worst night sleep ever We were looking for a place to stay for a single night and this seemed to be ideal for the price. This was a massive mistake. We arrived and the woman at reception seemed to resent the fact that customers had arrived. We had two rooms booked, one of which had wires hanging from the ceiling where a smoke detector should have been, a broken hair dryer and damp in the bathroom. The other room had a toilet which constantly flushed the whole time we were there. That evening we were woken up at 1am by a car alarm going off which then stopped after a few minutes. Then it started again, and stopped, and this kept on going all night which meant we couldn't sleep. We attempted to contact the reception to see if they could investigate but there was nobody there to respond, even when 24 hour help is promised. After getting up in the morning to complain we were greeted by the receptionists young son at the counter (no more than 8 or 9 years old). The receptionist finally arrived and all she said was "What do you want me to do about the alarm?" and claimed she had been there all night (she wasn't). An incredibly rude woman. I would suggest that anyone looking for a stay in this area to look elsewhere!

Place needs visit by undercover CO. I only stayed there 2 nights as there was no other place near by that had any openings on a Friday. The place needs a whole makeover in the rooms and also the pool area. It also seemed a little shady around the back of the hotel at night, you can hear a lot of people talking outside, not sure what was going on. The people working there all seemed very pleasant and helpful. It will not be on my list of places to stay, unless there is a big makeover, I filled out their survey and expressed my concerns, the general manager replied that they will look into my concerns.

We were expecting more from a Rodeway Inn The room was not very clean. There was a paper towel hanging from the peep-hole, an old toothbrush in the window of the bathroom and the smoke detector had been removed from the room. It looked like a new a/c unit had been installed but it was smaller than the old one so there was space all around the unit. Instead of sealing it, a small piece of foam was pushed around the opening. The street noise was so loud we couldn't sleep. It sounded like we had left the sliding glass door open but it was just the noise seeping in around the a/c opening. The person working the counter could not find our reservation even though we had a print out of the online reservation and payment. It is a good thing we had prepaid because we went to checkout at 7:30 am and the office was locked and closed even though the sign said OPEN. We won't be coming back.
