Awesome place, great people People should set the expectation when booking hotels at major holiday destinations like St Martin. Mary's Boon is not a luxurious hotel and the price indicates so. However, if you are not the ones who love spending time in the hotel room, this place is excellent value for the money. The location is great, right between the Dutch and French side so it's easy to explore the island. Plus, it's close to the airport and Marigot port for a day trip to Anguilla or St Barts. It's also in walking distance to some nice restaurants or grocery stores. The people are great and friendly. The pets, dogs and cats, are adorable. I got the recently refurbished room so it was a nice and comfortable stay. The best part is the beach just in front of the hotel. It's quiet and the water is great. I really have no negative things about this place so I would recommend this place.

Hot rooms no drinking water and ridiculous add ona Third and last time. We arrived for a one night stay and wanted to be close to the airport. First when we got there the room was steaming hot - I get saving electricity but it was hotter in the room that outside. Then they announced the restaurant was closing early and the waitress was just a grump. Finally no drinking water provided and considering we got to the hotel at 8pm no choice but to pay 6$ for a bottle of water. For the same price I could have been in one of the larger resorts but I wanted to try and support a small business. Never again.

Nice experience but like the French side much better This is on a nice part of the beach in Simpson Bay. It has been here awhile and has been updated some but still has more to do and could use some minor maintenance. It is about 2/3 of the way down the runway and it is interesting to see the planes fly over - but luckily the noise never bothered us at all. Food was varied and very good. Service on the beach both for food and for umbrellas and such was not really up to par and their dogs often created a distraction.

Breathing is better at the Boon!! MB is a hidden gem in SXM. This is our fifth time and this visit was for a reunion of 7 siblings and mates. Friendly efficient service in an intimate setting along zee best beach in SXM. I think of MB like a vintage inn steeped in history but topped in class.

Another Great Stay at Mary's Boon Another excellent stay at Mary's Boon. My wife and I stayed here for three nights. The room was clean, the beach was beautiful, the restaurant was excellent, and the staff was friendly and cordial. They represent 'The Friendly Island" very well. In particular, the young lady at the check-in and check-out office, Bisera, is so friendly and a pleasure to interact with. What a nice overall experience at this mainstay resort on the island.
