Clarion - time to step in and make your owner update this hotel. It's just not up to standards. Rooms and hotel and parking lot are very dirty, ants in the rooms, and the price you pay is not inline withe the value. I think the staff that works there is doing the best with what they have. The issue is with Clarion not mandating the owner do a comprehensive remodel. If this were $50 per night it would be an OK value. Again, I feel for the staff - they were pleasant and more helpful than you find in higher level national chains.

Horrible stay and they are Frauds I will never stay here again. I have been staying in this hotel for over 18 years as I visit my family back home and able for business. I used to stay here when it was holiday. This hotel has gone down a lot in regards of the condition of the hotel. However I stayed here May 7 and checked out May 8. I left this hotel in perfect condition for only inwas here for a short period of time due to business/ family matter. 4 days after leaving the hotel I notice they charged me $250 for a broken toilet!! Stated I put soap in the . I informed them I would never but a bar of soap in the toilet. I deputed this matter with every possibly and they refused to remove the charge. They sent me a picture that looked as if they were trying to frame me or scam so they can make money. In addiction this charge was on my American express business card . The hotel never contacted me no follow up from management besides emails stating they couldn't take the charge off. No Clarion will everrrr get my business again. So please other if you stay here what out for extra charges of damages on your account. Do not stay here please go next door to the Marriott.

Very great hotel and staff This hotel had very clean rooms! Also the breakfast was grab and go bags due to Covid-19’s policy but nothing we could do about that. Rooms are very wonderful and worth the money that we paid for them! But let’s talk about the amazing staff at the front desk. Every time I have stayed at this hotel I have only seen the GM Antoine but he happened to be away from the front desk that day and a young very Respectful man checked us in named Taylor. He done an amazing check in with us very fast very proper and asked us if we needed any help with our bags or if it’s anything he can do to please let him know. This is a young man working hard in customer service that you don’t run across just anywhere! Keep up your hard work Taylor you are great at your job and will go a long way in life! Also the next morning at checkout he was working again and asked how our stay was and if we was happy with everything. People this hotel has came a long way in the last year really enjoyed it and will only be staying at this hotel when my family and I come to South Boston. Taylor I want you to know keep up the hard work it pays off and this hotel is lucky to find someone like you!

South Boston Clarion - Great Service / Friendly Staff / Clean Rooms Spent the weekend the this past Saturday and Sunday (Halloween weekend 2021). Was in the area for the NASCAR races in Martinsville, Virginia and traveled back and forth for the weekend of racing. The Clarion is South Boston is a clean, spacious, and conveniently located with an exceptionally friendly staff. The manager, Antoine Casey, made us feel welcome and greeted us every morning by asking if there was anything he could do to assure our stay was pleasant. The room was clean and well stocked with towels and necessary toiletries. Room service had the beds made and fresh towels restocked upon our nightly arrival. To add to the convenience, there is a 'rocking' delicious Mexican restaurant directly alongside the hotel. You can't go wrong staying at the South Boston Clarion.
