Don't Waste your time The Inn is TIRED. All of the furniture, rugs and rooms are all tired and worn. The food is mediocre at best and has zero vibe. And the driving range is literally dirt- you have to drive by an abandoned parking lot to get there so there is golf nor social ambiance. I wouldn't waste your time staying here.

Hotel is in terrible shape, golf is great This hotel is in VERY bad condition. Every single carpet and floor has significant water damage and warping. The hotel is understaffed. Breakfast buffet is a hard pass. But, if you cannot stay at the Pine Needles it may be your only choice. The bed linens, while threadbare, were clean (the pillows were terrible). There are pleasant restaurants a short distance from the Inn where you can dine. The fact that our room cost the same amount as our room at the Umstead the following night is a crime. But, the golf was great.

Real Life Bates Motel- Great golf course hardly worth staying at this dump! Hard to believe this place is allowed to be open. Carpeting throughout the building stained and dirty, floors are uneven, windows don’t close, staff dumping chemicals to hide smell of something foul (mold?). Everything is filthy, housekeeping did not come during our stay, bathrooms just plain disgusting. The ONLY reason this place is in business is people are forced to stay here if they want to play at Pine Needles, Mid Pines or Southern Pines. These are great courses that are arguably better than anything at Pinehurst except maybe #2, 4, 8.

Run dont be fooled . this is a dump room 231 is from a horror movie , it doesnt look like it has been touched since 1921 the floors in this building are slanted, tilted, uneven i cannot believe it is even open to the public, the golf course is beautiful the putting green is beautiful the building and all the rentals on the highway should be turned in to the code enforcement and should be closed,

Old and decrepit! Do not stay here. This place is old and decrepit. Even the updated room we had was old. The bed sagged, the carpet was disgusting, the floor was so uneven you felt you were on the Titanic during a storm. Also there are no amenities at Mid Pines. You need to walk a couple hundred yards across the street to Pine Needles to use the pool and hot tub - which by the way are also old. I agree that the workers are all very friendly and the golf course at Pine Needles and Mid Pines are very good, but if you want a good sleep or want a clean more modern feel, don’t stay here.
