Red Roof Inn Southfield

Don’t Do It!! This is the worst hotel stay in my life to date. The room was clean and that was it. Everything was dated. Draw pulls and other stuff was missing. No utensils, no plates they always ran out of things. The garbage room was airways fulled and not cleaned properly. I heard someone get assaulted then I saw the police show up. Then one night someone was just knocking on doors randomly. They knocked a my door on 3 separate occasions it was 2am in the morning. Call the front desk they did nothing. The laundry room was filthy. I never tried the breakfast so I can’t comment on that. One day I was stalked by a creepy old lady as I packed my car. The staff tried to be nice but you can tell they are in over their heads. They let my cat stay with so that is one positive thing I can say about them.

I thought I was at joes apartment 1.smelled like hell 2.carpet and walls very dirty 3.trash rooms were packed with garbage for a full week 4.the employees hygiene were horrible along with their attitudes 5.never vacuumed the halls 6.never cleaned elevators The room smelled like HELL,barely was able to get tissue,couldn’t change my bed sheets or get fresh towels for two days,the refrigerator was nasty bathroom was nasty this place is a DUMP

Unsatisfied With Stay We called the hotel in advance and they had approved us for early check-in, due to our flight arriving in town early. When we got there, we found out that wasn't true. If you wanted your room cleaned while there, you had to pay an extra fee. There were never enough towels. There was a shortage of cooking utensils. The breakfast was only granola bars, oatmeal, hot cocoa, coffee, and tea. The hallway had a bad odor. There was no drinking water fountain.

I was not there 1 hour I have stated other extended stay America hotels so this was just a shock to me. I did not stay in this hotel for 1 hour. The hotel was built whenever everything that was put into the hotel when it was built is still there. The room was filthy nasty dirty the elevator was nasty dirty filthy nice are people bringing in groceries to stay. I ask this gentleman had he stayed here before he said several times. I couldn't believe it. I have always been told you're clean it's not my clean. Upon arriving in my room I see the condition of this filthy room I went downstairs to the front desk and told the young lady my room was not clean so she said she's going to give me an upgrade okay I went to the new room all I saw was a big empty space and the same filth on the other side so I go downstairs and I asked the young lady at the desk what upgrade was I given all I saw was an empty space and the same crap that was in the other room she said the upgrade was a bigger bed okay. Now well I am speaking to the young lady I noticed this gentleman will come in no he was the manager who took the keys went upstairs and look at the rooms. Coming back down to the front desk he asked me what was wrong with the rooms I can't believe this man had the audacity to ask me what was wrong with the rooms what was wrong with the property? So I said number one you had a filthy old bath mat in the tub he said okay I agree with you but what else I can't believe it again I said your clean it's not my clean. He proceeded to tell me the maybe this is not the right hotel for me to stay at I said correct and I walked out. This property was not as clean as a Do Drop In!!!! I have to give it one star or this review will not be submitted

Worse place 2 stay ever for Anything The room had no microwave, management never gave me a replacement or apologize. They were rude no one was at the service desk to assist with room issues. They charge for a late check out of $10.00 and the hallways smell awful. Hotel looks nice on outside but services are awful:(
