Outstanding value for money We picked a spot on the map as a stop over on our way back north and booked the waterfront hotel in Southport. This hotel is a bit ugly and dated from the outside, but inside in comfortable, we'll kept, clean, and it makes a decent attempt at style. For the cost, it far exceeded our expectations. It could get a few small tweaks to make it better, but at a fraction of the cost of the other hotels we stayed on our vacation, i have no complaints at all!

Birthday celebrations Arrived here on a Saturday afternoon, booked on booking.com so got a discount for our room otherwise I wouldn't have paid the full price for just one night. Communication was excellent and staff arranged for a celebration birthday balloon to be put in our room for my other half which was £6. The hotel is in a prime location and sits on the marina. The outside of the building could do with a spruce up as it looks abit tired but once inside it is lovely. Fortunately we got a room with a good view overlooking the marina and the room was spacious and modern looking and clean. A few tiny niggles like a few small stains on the carpet and the door handle to the bathroom was abit shabby looking and the window would not open but thankfully the air con was excellent. The only thing missing was a fridge which with it being a 4 star apparently there should have been one in the rooms I thought. We paid an extra £10 each for breakfast which was a continental plus full English. Not the best I've had but you got your moneys worth. The restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated. To say there were quite alot of people staying in the hotel it was so quiet. We didn't park in the underground carpark as we found a carpark more or less next to the hotel for £5 for 24 hrs, plus we felt safe enough leaving our car there as there where plenty of overnight motorhomes on there, otherwise it is £15 to park in the hotel carpark but apparently if you book direct it is free. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would happily book again.

The Waterfront is a little gem Group on deal for 1 night bnb+ dinner. Upgrades to a superior double room for £22. Unfortunately the website isn’t offering much info. Eg couldn’t see whether there was a pool or gym. As it transpired there’s a gym The hotel is nice. Very pleasant room and bars Dining room good too and these spaces are all linked and open with high standard of decor and gentle ambiance. Good bar choice and food good but nothing to get too excited about but well prepared and presented Staff professional and smart. Situation is ok. Reasonably quiet and not to near or far from attractions. Car park is good when you find it! Hotel exterior looks in need of TLC and the empty building adjacent doesn’t help. I really liked our stay but travelling from North Wales would book at least 2 nights

Great wedding venue We had our wedding there in June. Staff could not be more helpful, especially Ella the events coordinator and the food at the Wedding breakfast excellent. Best choice to go there for our day. In addition, the room was decorated by the team downstairs Elite Events who made the day that extra special

Brilliant but could be a smidge better Booked a superior room for 1 night. Room was excellent apart from the windows were dirty on the inside. Same with the valance that covered the curtain track. Had an evening meal and the food was excellent and service from Kantiyn was top dollar. Felt really well looked after. Went down for breakfast the next morning and food was as expected for a buffet style breakfast but couldn’t help but notice the restaurant could also be cleaner especially again round the windows and floor under the tables, and I don’t believe it was from that mornings service. So all in all a very enjoyable stay but hotel could do with tightening up house keeping.
