Waterfront Southport Hotel

Great wedding venue We had our wedding there in June. Staff could not be more helpful, especially Ella the events coordinator and the food at the Wedding breakfast excellent. Best choice to go there for our day. In addition, the room was decorated by the team downstairs Elite Events who made the day that extra special

Brilliant but could be a smidge better Booked a superior room for 1 night. Room was excellent apart from the windows were dirty on the inside. Same with the valance that covered the curtain track. Had an evening meal and the food was excellent and service from Kantiyn was top dollar. Felt really well looked after. Went down for breakfast the next morning and food was as expected for a buffet style breakfast but couldn’t help but notice the restaurant could also be cleaner especially again round the windows and floor under the tables, and I don’t believe it was from that mornings service. So all in all a very enjoyable stay but hotel could do with tightening up house keeping.

Fabulous stay! Great location. Possibly the most comfortable and spacious hotel room I've ever stayed in. We normally stay at The Vincent when visiting Southport but decided to have a change and I'm so glad we did! Book a Big Double, you won't be disappointed. Fabulous view, sofa & foot stool really comfy, table and chairs to sit at if needed. Bed was better than mine at home. Bar staff and waiting on staff friendly and efficient. One receptionist made a sarcastic comment which irritated us but you always get one. Overall a great stay and will return.

One night stay. Would return Stayed for 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast on Friday 13th June. Decent, safe car parking underneath the hotel. We arrived after 4pm and had no issues getting a parking space. Check in was quick and easy. Our room on the 3rd floor was clean, decent size, bathroom had, shower over a big deep bath. Iron and Ironing board if needed, great air con. We had a few drinks in the bar/lounge area, which was a lovely area, outside area too for when the weather is good. Drinks were good price wise for a hotel. We had a meal in the evening in the main restaurant but didn't enjoy it at all. See info below. Breakfast, lots of choice, hot and cold. It was perfect. Check out was 11am, but we were able to leave our car in the car park for a bit whilst we spent some time around Southport. Enjoyed our stay, and we will definitely return. Wouldn't bother with evening meal and instead upgrade the room. Little niggles: . The pillows in the room were horrendous. Far too soft. Might as well have not had any. Woke with horrendous neck pain. . Evening meal. It was very well presented, and it looked fantastic when it arrived, but I think the Chef bathed the food in a tank full of salt. It was awful. I like flavour but it was far too much. Totally ruined what could have been beautiful food. I saw several people return their food due to the same issue. . Fridges in room. No fridge in standard rooms, yet a big gap underneath where the TV sits, where it looks like a fridge was before and could easily slot in.

Fantastic stay and wedding! What can we say. This was the most perfect setting for our wedding. The wedding from start to finish was absolutely amazing, everything was magical. Ella and her team were a pleasure, they made sure everything was perfect and they really worked hard to provide the best service. The food was absolutely delicious for a hot food buffet, everyone said it was delicious. They even made sure the bbq could still happen although the weather wasn't fantastic, they put a gazebo out just for us. Myself and Luke cant thank everyone enough. The waterfront will forever have a special place in our heart.
