Rome Accommodation The apartment was very nice. Though situated in an old building, the apartment itself had quite modern fixtures and furnishings. It was spacious with 3 large bedrooms, kitchen, ensuite, bathroom and living area. Initially, it was a struggle carrying our luggage upstairs when we arrived, but not so tough bringing it down when we departed. Our host, Loredana was there to greet us when we first arrived. She gave us good instructions about the apartment and left us with a map and information to help us get around Rome. She also left us with several starter packs, such as nibblies and drinks. The apartment was conveniently located very close to the underground railway station at Lepanto which is only a few stops from Rome Termini and central Rome. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Frustrating Stay with Multiple Issues One star. In the middle of my stay, my key card stopped working. The staff couldn’t explain what the problem was. The water in the shower sometimes suddenly became boiling and burned my skin. I set the tap to the maximum cold setting, but it was still over 40 degrees Celsius. Putting up a sign that warns the water can suddenly change to super hot is not an excuse. It seemed impossible to turn off the hot water. There was no proper coffee machine; usually, hotels have capsule coffee machines, but this one only had a tiny electric kettle and instant coffee bags. There was no air conditioning in the room, and it was either too cold or too hot. At night, I had to sleep under two blankets but was still cold. Also, there was no hair conditioner. They only provided all-purpose soap, which supposedly serves as shampoo, hand soap, and shower gel. It was super annoying that each time I entered the room, the TV automatically turned on, and I had to turn it off every time.

Avoid This Place This place should be avoided! Calling this a Convention Center is the equivalent of laying a piece of plywood on a pair of sawhorses and calling it a banquet table. It sits off the road in a poorly lit area and is badly in need of repairs and updating. We reserved a room with two beds and requested a rollaway for a week-end visit. Upon arrival we found no rollaway in the room. When we contacted the desk an extremely rude and agitated woman said the room was too small for a rollway and then changed her story to “none available”. We did not choose the room and our reservation was made days in advance so neither excuse was valid. She informed me that we could sleep in the two beds. I have medical issues that make it necessary that I do not share a bed. It is certainly not the privilege of a hotel operator to dictate sleeping arrangements for guests. When pressed she demanded we leave or she would call the police. We told her we intended to stay and at that point a man approached the desk and allowed us to check in. We ended up sending one of the children to spend the night with a relative. Poor security is a big issue with the place. There was a lot of activity in the parking lot and a woman sitting behind the wheel of a car seemed to be passed out. The entry panel to the building did not work so anyone could access the building. The locking handle to a patio door that led to the atrium and pool area was broken and dangling from the door so there was no way to secure our room.. After one night we elected to not stay a second. When we checked out the clerk told us it was not possible to get a printed receipt. Now I know why. A day later an email came showing we were charged for both nights. This receipt that we were not allowed to see until after the fact contains policy information we were not provided at time of reservation, check in, or check out. We have complaints filed with the credit card company, Quality Inn offices, and the Choice Privileges Rewards Program. This place should be renamed the Poor Quality Inn.

Not a tourist hotel Location was a bit far from center, yet the underground and bus station are just 5 mins walk. The room has no fridge, and they don’t offer to keep sealed food in the hotel fridge. Me and my friend have food intolerances and we can’t eat normally so we need to buy what suits us. the receptionist didn’t know how to buy and underground ticket or even guided us what to do.

Not a good place to stay unless you like barking dogs and cockroaches. To start, It took about 15 minutes to get checked in because they were cashing out a large party and only one desk attendant knew how to check someone in. I noticed as I was waiting that there was a very strong chlorine odor in the air from the pool I assumed. Once I checked in, I walked down the hallway as I heard dogs barking and jumping at the doors of the rooms I was passing by, so it was clear to me that they accept animals. . It looked as it they were trying to make the place look nicer by painting the walls but the paint job was not very good. When I entered my room, it was neat and smelled clean. It appeared to have been painted recently but they painted over all the cracks in the walls and ceiling instead of fixing them. After settling into the room, I decided to explore the place. I walked out of my room down the hall to barking dogs once again. I went to check out the pool and it looked pretty nice. The rest of the place was filthy. Carpets were horribly stained, paint was peeling off walls and ceilings, rusty beams, etc. Although I was not thrilled with the place, I decided to stay. When I got into bed for the night, I noticed two cockroaches crawling down the wall. I immediately got up, smashed the roaches, and packed up to check out. I encountered another roach crawling in the hallway as I went to the front desk. I asked for a refund but the girl told me I would have to call back the next day to speak to a manager which I have yet to do. So, bottom line, stay away from this place, it’s horrible.
