Satisfactory as long as you don’t shower Fairly decent hotel close to I-95 and Buc-ee’s. Clean. No moldy smells, which I have encountered in coastal hotels. Reasonable breakfast spread with hot and cold options. Good coffee. Worst part of the stay was the shower. Tedious at best. Newly renovated room and the shower head was broken (?). Water was trickling out. Everything else was satisfactory.

Poor condition Air conditioner wasn’t working, room curtain was broken ( couldn’t pull it up), ice machine wasn’t working. Staff was very pleasant. Notified front desk at check out regarding problems. We Would not stay again. Easy on off from interstate.

Worst Hampton Inn EVER Selected this property since we have found Hampton Inn to be good value and this one was an easy on and off I95. Somehow the on-line ratings in no way reflected our experience. This property is dated and in need of major renovation - or to be rebranded as Ed's Beds. Definitely NOT at Hilton standard. Lots of other options in town to try. POSITIVES 1. Jason was polite and helpful at checkin 2. Price for one night was good 3. Beds and 3 pillows were comfortable 4. Refrigerator and microwave worked UNFORTUNATELY 1. Handle on sink loose and hard to get cold water 2. Smoke detector started chirping in middle of night and woke us 3. Worse than smoke detector was the VERY NOISE air-conditioning unit which could not be turned off due to high outdoor temps - made sleeping tough 4. Carpeting in halls very dirty 5. Of the 4 floors could only find 1 with an ice maker which was operational. Was a known problem with 2 having out of order signs. 6. Tap water had a discusting sulphur taste so went to car to get bottled water 7. While both elevators in service one kept hanging up - opening and closing door. Ended up walking down stairs. 8. Milk put on cereal was sour. Asked for replacement but it too apparently came from same bottle since it too was sour. No cereal that morning.

NOT A GREAT HOTEL This hotel is run down as all the hampton inn hotels in St Augustine,It is very difficult to get to due to large scale roadworks and rebuilding a hotel next dore so it is like staying on a construction site,The rooms are small but with a very large tv,The whole place looked grungy and the breakfast was not up to scratch,We were due to stay for 2 nights but checked out after the first night of a prepaid stay so still charged for 2 nights,There must be better hotels than this in St Augustine,We have stayed at Hampton Inn many times and this has got to be one of the worst.

NOT Hampton's best effort Beds pretty good, breakfast meh...carpets filthy, bedroom looked like someone had actually slept in the beds that's how poorly they were made to look. Totally unappealing and if hadn't been so late I would have gone downstairs and gotten my money back. Certainly not an "inspiring place to stay" look...and nothing like a Hampton ad. (BTW- desk personnel in early evening, Destiny, was friendly and helpful...on the other hand morning older woman was unfriendly - no smile or even a "thank you" as I gave her the keys.) My curtains also didn't work and only pulled up from one side. These room issues that are easy to fix and should not have been there at all had a housekeeping supervisor checked the room. Who looks after maintenance and housekeeping staff? And what about the management...why aren't the halls carpets cleaned? Just what are your jobs and why aren't they done to Hampton standards - or is this a new low for Hampton standards? Bottom line: This is an ok place to stay but I won't be going back. Guess it depends on what you expect from Hampton and then what you feel you will put up with for over $135+a night. I know $135 is nowhere near what one could pay, but clean is supposed to mean and look clean no matter what a hotel charges for its rooms. Public perception matters. Noone wants to stay in what is supposed to be a solid national Hilton-brand hotel and end up with this place -it's disappointing and that means people like me at least probably won't give the brand a second chance.
