Beautiful room close to Trolley This hotel is beautiful and very clean. Rooms are nice sized, too. Reception was very friendly and it also has a restaurant. Our rooms were upstairs facing the water. Would definitely stay here again. There is a nice eating area between the parking lot and hotel. We enjoyed our coffee there each morning and wine in the evening.

Looks are deceiving!! When we walked in we knew it was nothing like the pictures on line. We checked in got our room location and it was out back next to the train tracks “please note” the train went through the night 4 times which woke us up every time. Upon arrival to our room my husband saw that door looked like it was forced open at sometime with a crow bar! That made us feel safe!! NOT!! The room was small nothing fancy, needed some loving care. The bathroom door swung open into the sink counter outside the bathroom that made it impossible for two people to get ready. The bed was ok good enough for our two night stay. The walls are paper thin could hear everything above us. The second night it sounded like a group of kids in the lot near our room arguing and at one point a girl and guy screaming at other which woke us up. The bar in the very small restaurant was a disgrace. They had four bar stools which were so low your chin hit the top of the bar. The outdoor pool was ok we just looked at it but the hot tub was filled with a greenish yellow water….gross. Needless to say we will never ever stay at the Ponce de Leon again or recommend it.

One star * review. Says Two star hotel, but only because 1&1/2 is difficult to type. Noisy .. on big road and railway line. Rooms are just, just basic, though it was fairly clean. Floor needs a good wash. Ice maker in room....nice idea, but noisy at night. WiFi NOT REALLY free. Front desk told me it's included in one of the "other" 10 fees on bill.

Our stay The hotel was clean, but old. The beds were very hard. Our room was in the back of the hotel. Immediately behind the parking lot was train tracks. The train passed by about every 1-2 hours all night long. The bar in the hotel closed early when we went there. The front desk people were very helpful and nice.

Great place and people, perfect for families Stayed in a Deluxe Suite for a couple of days in February. Everything from checking in to the moment we left was great - people, surroundings, property. Loved the happy cheerful vibe of the hotel. Warm cookies and coffee in reception area. Reception desk team members were always smiling and helpful, manager was very friendly. We felt welcome here. Special thank you to Joel who took my "SOS" phone call and helped us reunite with a special item we left behind. It was truly appreciated! Great location with beautiful views to St.Sebastian river. 10-15 min. walking distance to major St.Augustine downtown attractions. Plenty dining options nearby. Conveniently located by a visitor center where the sightseeing shuttle stops. On site there's a cute Cuban - Caribbean restaurant that serves dinner nightly and breakfast on the weekends. Hotel has nice patio area with hot tub and pool. Our room was very spacious and nice, a perfect fit for a family of four (two teenagers) and a dog. Everyone had just enough own space and privacy. Two TVs, well equipped coffee station, mini fridge, double sink with plenty counter space for toiletries and makeup. The only downside - I wish the bathroom had a nightlight. We enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay here again!
