Updated Rooms with Friendly Staff Stayed 2 nights in St George while visiting Zion National Park. The Fairfield Inn is located about an hour away from the park entrance and right off Interstate 15 FWY. We arrived few hours early and was upgraded to a larger room on the 3rd floor and checked in by the nice front desk lady. The hotel is recently renovated with a nice look, comfy beds, nice carpets, walk-in showers, etc. COVID procedures were still in place around the breakfast area which had just enough food to satisfy us. Few areas we noticed were the one inch gaps on each door into the rooms which you could hear conversations, not sure if this was a design error or to allow for better airflow...Anyhow does not allow for privacy for sure. One more area and this is not fault of the hotel staff was the noise coming from the 15 FWY which is the main travel North/South artery. The noise did not bother us as we always have ear plugs, but this could bother other guests as mentioned in other reviews. Definitely ask for East facing rooms so not to hear the FWY noise. Overall, we were very happy our staff and the friendly staff. Will stay here again in the future!

Do yourself a favor if other Marriott hotels are full stay at the comfort inn university! Currently staying here - we are Marriott loyalists, but in the future will be doing ourselves the favor of just staying at the Comfort Inn university when the other Marriott properties in St George are full. I’ve stayed at this hotel 1-4 times per year since 2001 until COVID, for work and fun. It had been getting run down, but when I was booking I saw they had been remodeling and thought let’s give them a try. The remodel on the surface should be great, they room and general areas are quite dirty, but I’ve found that at most hotels during COVID and o know there are staffing issues, so I could look past it. We booked a room for four - they only had kings with sofa beds left but it let us book for four and we thought it will be okay because our children are quite small and have shared a sofa bed before. Today we arrived and the front desk person was bugged with us from the moment we arrived when we asked for our two rooms to be split into separate reservations, no thank you’d just clearly annoyed with us. We got up to our room, and the sofa bed is a single, so I checked to make sure we had booked a room for four and I hadn’t accidentally left it as for one. I called down and asked what my options where, none they said the hotel is sold out we are getting away from rollaways and I’m fairly certain they are gone. I asked “why is the room allowing bookings for four?” I’m not sure must be a Marriott thing. I asked who I could speak with them because clearly it’s not okay for one of my children not to have a place to sleep, he went to get someone and what do you know they magically found an old ratty roll away. No I’m sorry, no other solutions just you can come down to the desk and get it. Again- do yourself a favor I’ve stayed at the comfort inn university it’s great, the spring hill suites in Washington also great, the abbey Inn, great, courtyard and spring hill suites great, but this Fairfield is far from great and in my opinion doesn’t come near to the standards of service all marriott hotels should maintain.

NO SLEEP First of all, I usually stay at Marriott properties as a rule. While this property was very nice, it's location to the freeway was most unfortunate. I was continually woken up throughout the night with the EXTREMELY loud road noise, and I am partially deaf I probably had three-four hours of sleep between 11 PM and 7 AM. When I brought this up to the gentleman at the front desk, he just looked at me and said nothing. When I asked if I could change rooms to one on the other side of the hotel, he said that they were totally sold out. While I am a fan of Marriott Hotels, don't stay here, It is just too loud.

Deceptive WiFi charges and poor breakfast. No gym. Was charged 11$ for WiFi that was supposed to be free. Hotel is being remodeled so no gym available but this was not advertised. Free breakfast was very disappointing. Would not recommend. Shame on Marriott.

Good Stay!!! Excellent Room #329 - Close To Stairs and It Was Perfect This was my first time staying at this particular Fairfield Inn in St. George (conveniently located off I-15) from Sat. March 6th thru Tues. March 9th, 2021. I came up from L.A. while my “Best Friend” Jon drove down from his home near Provo, UT. We had a double bedded room (Room 329) which was closest to the stairwell, that provided easy access to our parked cars below (we were able to to keep an eye on our vehicles from the 3rd floor room.) This property was at the tail end of its renovation, and we were pleased overall. The room was refreshed recently and very comfortable. The TV cable offerings were limited, as many channels were not accessible without some passcode (can’t explain why?) We never used the breakfast in the morning, as we opted for Jack In The Box next door later in the day. Check-In by Heidi was excellent, and very friendly. We will return, someday. FOUR CLAWS UP!!!! Thanks for reading my review of Fairfield Inn by Marriott St. George. Peace!! Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA
