Last minute first choice Was almost average except the manager at the front desk was very polite and accommodating even with out me being able to book in advance due to a delay on my flight they made sure I had a place to lay my head till I could take off the next morning thank you America's best for working with me last minute

AVOID! MONEY STOLEN BY THIS ESTABLISHMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT Avoid this hotel at all costs, especially if travelling alone. I originally booked 2 nights. I had to cancel the first as my travel to St Louis was delayed. I called in advance and the guy on the desk was fine with it. I checked in the following day. The place was a dump but for one night, I figured it would be fine. When I checked out the following morning, the rate I was quoted (and have in print!) of $125 had suddenly become $180. I didn't want to argue, so I paid. The guy was sleazy and kept saying he wanted to keep my $50 cash deposit as a tip. I had to tell him I didn't think that was fair, seeing as $55 bucks had already been added to my bill. Several weeks later, and once back in the UK, I checked my bank statement only to see they have taken $415 from my account. This is basically stealing. I have been trying to get in touch with Americans Best Value Inn Downtown St Louis, but the complaints form does not include this one as one from the drop-down menu. I wonder why? It's a total scam and the place is filthy. Does anyone know how to complain to this particular hotel? They owe me $268!

Greal Location and friendly staff!!! Super great location and wonderfully loving staff !!!! Can't say too many good things about the service quality!!! Easy access to the Metrolink and Convention Center as well as the Federal Reserve Economy Museum. I hope that anyone and everyone will visit Saint Louis soon and stay here!!!

Don't waste your money, the place is nasty We checked in and there was a used crack pipe with residue on it and a mystery white stain on the comforter. The lady at the desk tried to say the crack pipe was eyelashes. The second room was non-smoking. It reeked of marijuana and had fruit ground into the carpet. "Mike" refused to refund the $253.93 I was charged for the two night stay. There was also a used condom in the parking lot. NASTY PLACE!!! I booked through booking.com and they also refused to refund me. I was there 7 minutes and left. "Mike" also told me he "didn't care" if I posted the photos online. Both Mike and the female working were rude and disrespectful.

Not quite up to American standards The staff were very helpful, and quick to bring an iron when I requested one because it was missing in the room. The furniture was definitely worn and outdated, the tub needed to be resurfaced, and water flow from the outdated shower head was very restricted. I brought my own coffee because there's none in the rooms. I was in town for a business conference at the Dome, and if I have occasion to return, I'll stay elsewhere.
