Weighing the Pros & Cons Pros -Within easy walking distance of several city attractions and restaurants. -Nice indoor pool/pool area on the 2nd which was never busy -Decent rooms with microwave and mini fridge. Plenty of drawer storage if that’s something you use. -Quiet (even with construction nearby) -Free Wi-Fi Cons -No dedicated parking. We got lucky finding (free) street parking. -No maid service and we were there for 4 nights. Our tiny garbage cans were overflowing. (This is my biggest complaint). -Certain areas of the hotel looked clean while others needed attention. I saw the same granola bar chunk on the stairs going to the 2nd floor every day we were there. -We saw a small black spider run across the tile floor in our room and it freaked my son out for the rest of our stay. -No free breakfast.

Don't, just dont Terrible hotel across the board. Our room was assigned to someone else and that person came barging in at 1AM. You read thaf correctly, they had a key to our room and came in when my 15 year old daughter was sleeping 10 feet from the door. I was absolutely on fire after that. The best part, they first tried to tell me I didn't fishing checking in? What? We checked in at noon and were given two keys to 416. Then when my key didn't work (because they assigned 416 to someone else later that evening) they tried to blame it on me and said it was because my key was too close to my cell phone. I mean seriously, WTF is wrong with these people. Trust me if you need to be close to the convention center, choose the Marriott or Embassy Suites. IHG should be embarrassed to have their name on this place.

We won't be back ... no way! We’ve stayed in many Holiday Inn across the United States, our experience in comparison to other Hotels in the chain are: • The property is dated and outdated. • TV didn’t work in the first room, and worked subpar in the “replacement room”. The front desk never did send Maintenance to the new room! • Piss and/or sticky and stinky liquid in the elevator. Resulting footprints on our floor were still there the following day! • Lingering Pot smell in the hallway! • No room service in the 3 nights of our stay! • Worn out furniture! Wobbly and/or in poor shape and function! • Constant traffic and slamming doors in the hallways at night, busy clientele there! • Our room’s door frame was out of square, had to apply effort to open and close! • I thought that the breakfast was customarily included, but we were charged for what was a subpar spread (low choices, watery eggs, etc) in comparison to other Holiday Inns! • Room keys kept quoting to work, had to go back get reprogrammed three times that I recall! • Extraordinarily dirty windows! • Amazingly low bathroom sink. • Toilet had a piss-soak-stained-color-like caulk at the basin! • Outside of the Hotel, the property is dirty and unkept. • People that worked there were in large friendly, what finds my observation as accustomed-desensitized to the situation!

Average The room size is nice, but everything is old! Rather disappointing. All of the amenities are rather antiquated and it would be preferred for more stations on the TV. No one warned me that the parking was not an option, rather a pricey paid lot across the street.

Hotel is lacking Was a decent and convenient stay for business. Now the elevators are falling apart, parking is a nightmare because the construction. Tried to get dinner in the bar area two nights in a row and the bartender was beyond rude! Tonight I attempted to get change for laundry. I got told sorry nope. Check the bar. Finally got someone at the bar. He told me no, he don’t have change. He goes to the desk for change. Go ask them. I asked what you can’t pull change. And the guy and another woman was like no. So I paid over $700 to stay here, another $200 plus for parking off property because you have no parking. And you can’t swap me some cash or quarters to do my laundry. This was a business trip and I have in years past always did my laundry here and got change. And it was not so much not having the quarters. But more so the fact that every interaction I’ve had with your staff since I have arrived has been short and unhelpful. Not what I would expect from a holiday inn. Sadly the building is in decline and the staff attitude is as well.
