Pure Joy Wonderful location. Fitness room needs some attention as it was pretty warm and no air flow. Great view and overall nice experience. Note to travelers - not much open downtown on the weekend - including coffee shops. Missed my sugar free vanilla which was not available in the hotel anywhere.

Disappointed. Parking is a major issue. Alternative parking for larger vehicles. Bar and restaurant hours need to be extended.

The Best in St. Paul Our stay with a group of friends was Excellent! Little things I appreciated most- efficient check in/out process from greeting to departure, fantastic food & drinks right off the lobby at St Paul Grill Bar/ St Paul Grill and the fitness room-you can’t beat the view from the fitness center! The housekeeping team is excellent- rm. 819- our room overlooking Rice Park was spotless & comfy…very clean! Sage, the Saturday morning barista at The Lobby Bar makes a great coffee. Excellent groundskeepers- we enjoyed walking the gardens evening, before the concert & in the morning, after breakfast-they’re lovely! We certainly look forward to staying at The St Paul Hotel again.

Wedding -Vacation Elegant older hotel with many charms from the past. Very clean, friendly staff, and valets to always help. You felt like royalty when arriving and staying at this hotel.

Doesn't live up to it's hype The cons: constant noise from what I assume is an air-conditioning unit outside. Bring your earplugs so you can sleep. There were three of us but we only got 2 cups, 2 mugs and 2 chairs. 1 pod of tea, granted the US is a coffee drinking nation but not there are international guests and others that drink tea. Our room wasn't serviced the second day and things like toilet paper were running low by the next day (no new tea). There isn't enough lighting. If you like to read be prepared to snuggle up to the lamps. No concierge or maps. The guy at reception looked at us like a stunned mullet when we asked for help with tours, transport etc. when I mentioned the Landmark Centre he said they would have information. The shuttle on day 1 didn't have a driver. Dinning room closes at 8.30pm and due to flight delay we had to eat at the bar which was noisy and the food wasn't great. Sat by the doorman's station waiting for the bellman, who was covering a break for the doorman, to finish what he was doing and shuttle us to the cathedral (totally fine with waiting he was a lovely friendly guy). The bellman was was called away and when the doorman came back on duty he totally ignored us. Not even asking if we were okay. Little things just didn't live up to the hotels rating and the price charged. Positives: beds were comfortable. Drake had really good oatmeal for breakfast and our two servers were friendly. Struck a fantastic bellman on day 2 that shuttled us to the cathedral and picked us up again. Also got a young women on reception the next day who was very helpful suggesting lunch locations and how to get around.
