Great staff, beautiful hotel Stayed overnight before heading to vacation home in Anna Maria Island. The staff was super friendly and helped out several times with our stay. The hotel shuttle to and from the airport was convenient and the pool was refreshing. Room clean and quiet.

Been coming here for 18 months...... I know that this location is under construction but over the past 2 stays in July and June they have lost their minds! You would think that with being a regular you would not see the worst of the business here but the rooms I have been given show NO CARE OR CONCERN for customer satisfaction. If I was just so busy to move on I would be happy to critique the issues happening at this location. Only good thing is Thomas as the restaurant and bar! The Most out-dated Marriott I've been in. Skip it until the refurb is done. They have construction materials in the parking lot, so it looks like the hotel is getting a refurb.... It needs it!! Odd shaped, wasted space for the entry, then a tiny bathroom. Furniture and carpet are, tired and dated. Huge closet, not one hanger.

Terrible Hotel Management I arrived at the hotel at 9:45pm and I was told that my room was not availble yet. I was given a drink coupon to go and have a drink at the bar. At 10:15pm I finally was allowed to check into my room. My room did not have any hand towels and I had to use a half used bottle of shampoo and a half used bottle of shower gel. No one cleans your room becuase they are trying to save money and that is probably why a lot of the cleaning staff called in sick during Spring Break week which caused a huge delay in my room being ready even though I arrived VERY late.

What Happened? We have stayed at this property in the past and we cannot even begin to describe what we faced. While we understand Covid-19 has impacted many industries, there is no excuse for the room we stayed in to be in the condition it was. When we entered the room, we hung our clothes and showered without any issues. It was when we turned on more lights and pulled back the sheets that the prospect of a nice couple days touring the museums went South quick. There were stains on the sheets of one bed (the other was fine), the carpet and chair. We contacted the front desk to complain. Considering we would not be in the room very much and that we were settled, tired and not wanting to move, we declined the offer of a new room. They sent up clean linens that we changed ourselves and we flipped the cushion and avoided the chair the rest of the stay. I was shocked that the staff was less than apologetic. The staff seemed unhappy to be there and they were less than attentive. I am an Ambassador member, and although I do not expect to be treated like royalty, a little acknowledgement would be nice. The perks that we earn (e.g, concierge lounge) are non-existent due to the pandemic, but a little extra kindness is not asking much. When we checked out, there was no acknowledgment that our stay was less than stellar other than to say they would let the housekeeping team know. There are many other properties in the area and needless to say we will not stay here again.
