Dress for Winter A hotel for walkers due to endless hallways. Here for a convention. Easy to find. Attractive large lobby and inside courtyard. Spacious meeting rooms. The convention was almost ruined by terribly cold air conditioning, down to 59 degrees in the main auditorium and the coffee which was needed to try to warm up, was mediocre at best, making this stay less than satisfying. Elevators quite slow and one in particular shook and made worrisome noises while en route. The carpet outside the main meeting room had a moldy smell, but elsewhere the hotel air was of excellent quality. The best part of the stay was the very comfortable and very quiet room, with excellent temperature controls. The bed was above average so sleep was wonderful. The shower provided ample hot water, but at all times, it would take a couple of minutes to heat up. There is no hotel bar and no nice nearby restaurants/pubs. Convenient and inexpensive public transportation down Summer Street for more attractive parts and also to the train station. All encounters with staff excellent. Would be happy to return here, but will dress for winter while attending events!

Almost perfect but not quite We are a couple who stayed at the hotel for a conference. Some of the reviews have been very positive and some very negative. Our experience was very positive, with only some relatively minor issues that could be fixed with more attention to detail. First, the signage is not very good. It is not clear where exactly to register or where exactly to park while registering. Better signage is needed outside. Better signage is also needed inside. Our room was a 3 digit number (like 517). But, when we got to the 5th floor, only 4 digit numbers were shown on the sign (like 5117). It turned out there are 2 towers in the hotel and some are 4 digit room numbers and some are 3 digit. Better signage and better instructions from the front desk are needed. Our room - an Executive Suite - was very nice. Very large 2 rooms, great beds, generally well equipped. But, some oddities. No towel bars in our bathroom and no hooks either. Toilet seat was very loose and slipped around. And, floor (wood) was very sticky as if something was spilled and not cleaned up completely. These are not big deals, but definitely show a lack of attention to detail. Exercise room was fine, but no cleaning wipes, which is pretty standard these days, and no water. Parking garage was fine, and desk clerk actually gave it to us for free. Not sure why. We enjoyed the hotel public areas which are majestic. If the relatively minor things were attended to, I would have given this a 5/5.

Armon Hotel & Conference Center Our last experience at the Armon Hotel was not so great, however this time it turned around for the best. We were checked in by a staff member by the name of Netty. She made the process easy and smooth as she always does because we had previously dealt with her in previous bookings. Having this smooth process started off things right and they only continued to do so. During our stay, there were several instances where we needed assistance and it was prompt and easy to deal with. There is another staff member by the name of Jose, who is the Armon Hotel & Conference Center's Security Guard, who has his post here every night. He always makes sure the property is safe and there is no issues which made my partner and I feel much more comfortable. He also assisted us with a minor issue, and everything went smooth and was easy to resolve. We would personally like to thank both Netty (the front desk associate) and Jose (the security guard) for making our stay so great. See you again soon!

Book if you want things stolen by staff My brothers $550 Apple over the ear headphones were stolen by hotel staff. The manager suggested he go to the police station to file a report? How about holding your employees accountable for STEALING? Highly disappointed by the total lack of concern and/or help trying to get his expensive item back.

Depressing Arrived early Sunday evening to find a nearly empty hotel. One clerk to check me in. Not fast. In fact, every time I headed out there was only one person at check in/out. Not unusual to find 4-5 waiting in line at peak times. The on-site restaurant has a very limited menu and doesn't open until 8 a.m. on weekdays. Across the street is an IHOP, a funeral home, a gas station, and a donut shop. You'll Uber to find a decent restaurant. The room was fine, bed comfortable etc. and seemed updated. I almost never saw anyone in the hotels' giant atrium. Also, there's only one elevator bank so you'll likely walk a long way to get to your room. There were also no baggage handlers or doormen to be found. Stay here only if it's close to something important to you. Otherwise, find a higher quality Stamford hotel that's closer to restaurants etc.
