This place is a gem _ We were driving to Florida from Boston and got tired and found this gem by accident. Price was reasonable location is safe and beautiful, right next to a golf course. The place is very well kept and so clean! The people at the front desk were very friendly. We had a nice dinner at Dairy Queen wich is 5 minutes down the street and desert of course! With 2 kids this was the perfect place to eat! We swam in the half indoor half outdoor pool, wich was really cool _ and clean! My favorite was the shower with all the Dove products! One of the best showers I've had while traveling through the years! The room was very clean and very comfortable. We are a family of 4 and we each had 2 pillows each. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to others. Thank you for your hospitality and great experience!

Clean, pet friendly, great staff We’re a family of six with one dog, rooms are super clean, beds are comfy, plenty of space for a dog crate and pack and play. Breakfast was good for the price. Awesome travel hotel, you won’t be disappointed. Great for family, couple, or on your own. Thank you Holiday Inn Staunton staff!

A disappointing Holiday Inn This was a very disappointing hotel. The website description saya it has a restaurant, which is why we chose it but deep into the fine print the site mentions to call ahead to find out restaurant hours. I did not do that so was surprised and annoyed to find out the restaurant was not open. my bad but who calls to check whether or not advertised features are available? Same for the other annoyed travelers. There is no restaurant nearby to walk to (no drinking and driving in strange unknown areas). The problem with this is if I had called, the desk staff did not know the restaurant schedule either! Because after the tension of not dinner, they assured me there would be a breakfast buffet Monday morning. Well there was no breakfast buffet and what was available was a seriously crappy, glorified “grab and go” reminiscent of covid era offerings. If I had been paying $50 bucks, then I would not complain but we weren’t paying $50. The worst part was that a very nice HI Express and Hampton Inn were nearby. The staff while having no idea about the restaurant schedule was helpful in turning on the lights and TV in the restaurant so we could watch basketball, drink hotel wine and eat our piping hot Dominoes.

The Manager Kristin is amazing! This review is long overdue but here it is. It was a good hotel. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that if you are a light sleeper and get put on the highway side it can get loud with the semi trucks. Which happened to me. Luckily the awesome manager Kristin Curtis helped me out and got me a room on the other side. I can't say enough about her. She was super nice and understanding. Even checked up on me later to make sure everything was OK! Pretty rare someone at a hotel is that nice and caring.

Overnight stop to break up the drive We needed to break up a drive from Virginia Beach to Nashville and Staunton helped me avoid more than 10 hours behind the wheel. The hotel is recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. The staff was polite and friendly and there was plenty of parking. For anyone who may not be familiar with the area, it’s rural — there’s not a strip mall across the street or a gas station around the corner. Plan your travel and munchies accordingly.
