Family Reunion Weekend The hotel itself it very lovely! We have stayed there another time for our family reunion. Food was amazing. Our hotel room was not super clean, we arrived to find a few pieces of dog food on the floor and other parts of the floor were not clean. Bathroom was 3/5 clean.

Outdated and expensive Very expensive and underwhelming. We we overcharged for our stay and on someone else’s CC. The lodge its self has golf, Frisbee golf and some mild hiking on property. The nearby town doesn’t offer much. I would skip this one, your money and experiences will go further almost anywhere else.

Come for the views, Not the room. My girlfriend and I stayed two nights (separate rooms) while celebrating my 64th birthday in the area. Hiked the Lake Loop Trail one morning which was well marked and nicely maintained. We had one lunch in the only restaurant that was open and the food was fine, but not great. There were only six choices on the menu (2 were breakfast items) which we felt was quite limiting. The service was slow (we had to ask for a waitress) when the restaurant wasn't at all busy (~1pm). We also visited the pool/hot tub area. The pool area smelled strongly of chlorine and only allowing water to drink was disappointing and a big negative. The locker room felt dated and not at all luxurious. I guess I sort of expected more given the cost of the rooms. I felt the room itself was dated and tired. There was garbage from a previous guest under the vanity in the bathroom. The AC unit was loud. Then to add a 15$ nightly parking fee (when there seemed to be no shortage of parking) and a 37$ Resort Amenity Fee (when the amenities were few and far between or lacking in some way) on top of a room charge of $380.00 (least expensive room) was over the top and unwarranted. In summary: Pros: - Location and views of the river and surroundings - Staff was friendly - Hiking trail we took was well maintained and well marked Cons: - Interior dated and tired - No continental breakfast offered and the tea offerings were only green, herbal and bergamot (no black tea) - Pool area smelled strongly of chlorine - Women's locker room was dated and had 'gym' vibes as opposed to spa vibes. The floor was extremely wet and slippery - Corkscrew was present in the room but no wine glasses - No bottled water provided as in some spa resorts - Conditioner dispenser in the shower was clogged - Only 6 items on the lunch menu and two of them were breakfast items (waffle and omelet) - 1 of the Amenities listed is 'Windows that open'. They open maybe 6" max. - Free Parking is listed on Trip Advisor as one of Skamania Lodges Property Amenities. It's not free and cost me 15 bucks/night. In conclusion: I have stayed at many other hotels and resorts/spas over the years and in my opinion Skamania Resort fell short compared to others for what it costs ya.

Not worth it The food menu is extremely limited, also they charge $20 for the same breakfast buffet that is free at other hotels. There's also no room service
