Sad way to spend a birthday. The most disgusting place in Summerville, South Carolina. TV not working, urine stains on the toilet seat, shower stall water stained, substandard wall repairs, leaving plastered layers showing, left over marks from removing wall hook, room temp set at 62 degrees, VERY noisy, breakfast barely layed out with minimal effort to present, hall flooring was dirty, staff laundry room was dirty. Staff was very courteous and offered us another room. The price of the room was extreme considering the condition of the hotel. I'd tell my friends not to stay there. I'd say upgrade the hotel to meet your standards.

RUDE RUDE RUDE I booked a room through the Choice Hotels app for an employee. When the employee attempted to check out a day early, he was told that he couldn't. I called the hotel directly to find out the issue and was immediately met with a nasty attitude. After listening to this rude, fast talking man speak down to me, I ask him to take it down a notch that I was just calling to find out the issue. He snapped back that he had already explained this to the employee. I told him that he hadn't explained it to me, I wasn't being rude & I hadn't spoke to the employee. His attitude toward me was definitely not reflective of the attitude that he received from me. He made several condescending remarks and obviously doesn't realize that the survival of a hotel depends on people staying at the hotel. His attitude is not conducive to business, that's for sure. The man on the phone seemed to have a negative attitude towards the 3rd party booking sites.....WHICH I DID NOT USE! So just be aware, if you are booking through a 3rd party sites, he already looks at you differently. I DO NOT recommend this hotel and would recommend that they train their front desk staff in some way to deal with people respectfully. This is not the first time we've used this hotel but it will definitely be the last, although the front desk clerk didn't seem to care at all. All I needed was a explanation of why he couldn't check out early, not a lesson in HOW NOT TO TREAT PEOPLE. On a positive note, I found out that it wasn't that he couldn't check out, we were just still paying for a room that they could rent to someone else. Not the first $100, I've lost & probably won't be the last....but won't be to this rude person at this hotel!!!!

Pick Me The clerk, Marissa, was wonderful, helpful and had a good sense of humor. The property was nice and clean and the room was pretty clean also. The TV in the room had plenty of audio outputs (even a digital output) for bluetooth hearing impaired. The property was easy access from I-26 and only 23 miles from Charleston.

Needing a clean place to rest and sight see the next day, didn't happen Stayed at Sleep Inn of Summerville, SC. We arrived very exhausted after driving all night looking for a clean place to rest until time to return our vehicle for repairs. Other hotels were booked so we stopped at Sleep Inn, yes there were vacancies and I see why. Upon entering the hotel you look up and around and you wonder who cleaned the vents and light fixtures last(red flag), no elevator so I have a handicap and had to climb the stairs, the hand rails were filthy, sticky so I used my sleeve. Arrived at room 210 put on the light and bugs are running. One on the wall above the mirror, one in the sink and one on the night stand clock. I told my husband, this is not what I wanted. Spoke to the clerk on duty as we were leaving the same day and explained briefly why we were leaving and he said he would notify his manager and I would get a call. I received a call from him by the time I reached home, of course apologizing and I would get a refund, it never happened.

Pleasant Surprise My buddy and were super exhausted having fought Asheville traffic and St. Patrick's Day revelers (am sober for 7 yrs and 7 months), so exhausted was a mild adjective. Marissa during check-in and William (was his birthday) rocked my world. EFFICIENT and super FRIENDLY. I wanted to stay more days just to hang with them. I highly recommend this property.
