Very disappointing and over priced We booked The Ryder Grill for a 90th birthday celebration. It was very disappointing. We were put on a table that was as far away from the buffet as you can get. This for a 90 year old was not an easy walk dodging all the other tables and chairs on the way. The starters were nice but the main course was poor. Beef was tuff. Roast potatoes very under cooked. Yorkshire puddings dry and tasteless. Peas were like bullets and cauliflower cheese totally lacking in flavour and seasoning. Desserts were varied and ok. The cost of water on the table was £6 per bottle, we had no idea they would be charged for. This is a self service buffet meal so to add 10% for service is really not acceptable. It felt badly organised with dirty plates being taken through the queue of guests waiting at the buffet. We feel very let down as this was to be a family get together for a 90th birthday celebration.

Made to feel second best I visited the spa only. Whereas my overall experience was lovely, my spa treatment was lacking. I could hear talking throughout my treatment and it appears my therapist was wearing ear buds so I could hear her listening to a book. So much so that during my scalp massage she would pause at points. I enjoyed the food and the fire/ice experience. There are not enough loungers to relax on. So overall, I feel my treatment was lacking. It must have been something really exciting to listen to.

Good service, loud music noise Visited for a spa weekend with a friend. Service was overall very good, spa treatments especially. Unfortunately our room was disappointing. We had a view of a wall and was located right over the bar so very noisy. The music continued into the early hours and was extremely loud. The room was uncomfortably warm but we couldn’t have windows open at night because of the noise. Have stayed here before and had no issues. Would come again but would request a room in a different location. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday so midweek may be better

Ryder grill We stayed the night after spending a day playing golf and went to the Ryder grill buffet, there was plenty of options, food was lovely and we were looked after by Sophia who was amazing, very hospitable and helpful. I advise anyone staying to use the buffet and hopefully you get the great service that Sophia gave us_

Sophia was a great waitress Sophia in the Ryder grill was amazing. Service was fast food and was amazing! Thank you for an incredible evening. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful. Definitely coming back. Lots of choice of food and again our waitress Sophia was so lovely
