the smell was un bearing there were bugs in my room, they ran out of milk on 2 days we were there that included breakfast, the bathroom had what looked like mold.

Tampa trip close to Port. We chose this hotel to stay the night prior to departure of a cruise the next morning. It was less than 8 miles from pier 6 Tampa and took less than 15 minutes even in morning traffic. The hotel is close to many nice restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Great price for the quality and location. The breakfast bar was limited. Boiled eggs, sausage, toast, yogurt, and waffles. Personally I would have preferred cereal and scrambled eggs. I'll live though _

0 the absolute worst motel I've ever stayed in Disgusting motel full of mold they paint over but the smell is horrific, drug use on the property and lots of theft from vehicles. I would never recommend this place to anyone. YUCK

Amazing hotel, amazing staff. The front desk manager (clean cut guy with tatts) was very impressive. As an employer, he embodied all desirable qualities that I could want in an employee. He was very courteous, professional, showed great problem solving capabilities while under pressure, and treated other employees around him with great respect and care. He addressed all my concerns while making me feel it was no problem at all and that my needs were his highest priority. He deserves a raise and accolades at the very least. The rest of the staff and housekeeping were all in line with being simply amazing at how they do their jobs and take care of the guests. The cleanliness and other visuals of the room and property were great. Including the oft overlooked luggage carts. Most of time these are in poor repair and tough to use, that was no the case here though. I rate a 10 across the board for your hotel and staff.

Run Away! There are two LaQuintas at the Brandon exit on I-75. Be careful not to confuse them, as I did. My experience at the Brandon West location was so bad we checked out after one night. Air conditioner in the room was broken. Was moved to a smelly room where the refrigerator froze all foods and drinks, and the hairdryer blew up in my wife’s hand. Brandon West is in a sketchy area and is poorly lighted. Had made a reservation for three nights, but my wife felt so unsafe that we checked out after one. (Still battling Expedia/Brandon West) for a two night refund. Nobody expects too much of the hotel breakfasts these days, but it is not too much to expect minimum standards. Powdered eggs, cold turkey sausage patties, a toaster that didn’t work, a waffle iron that only cooked one side, bruised fruit and cheap muffins defrosted and refrozen so many times, the wrapping stuck to the cake. Too cheap to put out butter. Breakfast room staff made it clear to us that we were past their 9 a.m. deadline when they started to ask us at 8:50 whether we were finished eating. Forget about that last cup of coffee. It got packed away at 8:50a. Front desk manager would not even discuss a refund for the last two nights and got rude when I asked him to give me a receipt showing I had paid for one night and checked out after that. He refused to provide a receipt. Do not fall for the price of this place. You’d do better with a tent and Coleman stove.
