Worst experience in my life ! I'm extremely dissatisfied with this hotel . My TV didn't work, employees don't know the difference between the rooms the appohlstrey on the chair was filthy had to put towels on it so I didn't have to sit on the filth. George did his best to help me and is an asset to your team. TheSpanish clerk on the morning shift also was very dedicated to customer satisfaction. Unfortunately the clerk that's on now at 5 pm is completely incompetent extremely unprofessional and worst yet a liar . No where on line or my invoice is there a request for a deposit. When I got to the hotel for check-in this clerk redid my reservation and created a new invoice in my wife's name. In doing so a $100 deposit was charged to my account. There was no mention of it from the clerk nor anything in writing on the new invoice went over it with a fine tooth comb . When deposits are required by a hotel it's taken upon arrival and is presented in writing during the booking process in addition when a deposit is taken it's a separate invoice than the one which is for the hotel stay. Now I was left with no money to have dinner with . This was supposed to be a special trip for my wife's birthday. It's been nothing other than a huge disappointment to us both. Before I raised my voice to the clerk I asked her why wasn't I informed of the deposit she had no answer for me then she said the clerk that checked us in was responsible for it . That's when I became loud informing her that she checked us in and redid the invoice in my wife's name. She told me right to my face that she had not done so. What a shock to be a lie right to my face , then I made her provide me with the new invoice that proved that she indeed redo the invoice and check in . I'm totally disgusted with her actions she does not represent this hotel in a good light. I can deal with wrong rooms but will not tolerate being lied to by an incompetent clerk representing your hotel. I can tell you my review of the hotel and my stay will reflect my treatment and stay at the hotel which I canassure you will be a negative review . Only thing this hotel has going for it is George and the morning clerk and the morning manager. At checkout the manager Linda chastised me for my interactions with her employee didn't deny getting loud and I explained that I wasn't used to hotel clerks lying to my face and denying that they checked me when she was the only one there . They are not held to a high standards of customer service or satisfaction. Linda the manager who I actually liked made excuses for all the problems I had during my stay and couldn't explain why there was no mention or written explanation that the hotel required a deposit anywhere, in addition I was standing next to another couple who wasn't aware of the deposit until he used his atm card and got his balance it was only then that he learned about the deposit and addition to that he was only charged$50 and was very unhappy he wasn't informed of it and was told it would take 3 to 5 days to get back even though I was told it would be released back to my account when I checked out. As far as professionalism the clerk that checked me out was wearing a durag or skull cap that thugs and gangbangers wear with a zip up camouflage sweatshirt totally unprofessional . No concessions where made for all the problems that we incurred nothing at all to make us ever go back

Good value for money Hotel is a bit out dated but has amazing water pressure and close to all amenities. The front desk staff were fairly help, room was clean and the pool appeared to be well maintained. The only thing needing to be updated is the 80’s bathroom and paint but it was a good stay.

Mean and incompetent I didn't get my wake up call. I missed my flight. The manager yelled at me and threatened to call the police if I didn't get out of the lobby. She had a big smile as she bullied me and gave me an insincere apology. Not nice. I was given excuses. "The night lady isn't here this morning" . But, the information was in their computer.

Disappointing “boutique” hotel The Tahitian Inn desperately needs an update. They’ve recently started calling it a “boutique” hotel without any of the amenities and thoughtful touches of a boutique hotel. Check-in went smoothly. The staff members who helped me was very nice. I had a second-floor Cabana Room (double with two queen beds) overlooking the pool. Immediately upon entering the room, there was a musty smell. It wasn’t a smell related to lack of cleanliness, but of age and neglect. The room was clean for the most part, but depressing, dark, and drab. There was a six-drawer dresser that looked like the same one I had in my childhood bedroom in the 1980s, a worn arm chair, a small fridge that was not clean, coffee maker (also not clean), and microwave in addition to the two queen beds. The closet area had an iron and ironing board. I did not use either. This was a one-night stay with my dog in between other travels, so all I really wanted was a comfortable bed and nice shower. The Wi-Fi was slow, but I didn’t have to work during my stay, so I didn’t care that much. I normally do work when I travel and the Wi-Fi would have been inadequate for that. The beds had scratchy, poor quality sheets. (Hotel management, I have a tip! Amazon Basics makes inexpensive sheets that are comfortable!) The mattresses themselves were old (maybe early 2000s?), with squeaky and unsubstantial box springs. I slept two hours and a few minutes, according to my sleep app. I woke up with a backache. I went to make a cup of coffee and found that the carafe and filter basket were dirty. I decided to get coffee at a coffee shop instead. The shower was clean, had plenty of hot water, and although very dated it was totally workable. Like the sheets, the towels were cheap quality and scratchy. It wasn’t the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel, but it wasn’t good. Pay $20-40 more and stay at Hotel Haya (a true boutique hotel) or Hotel South Tampa and Suites (just down the street from the Tahitian Inn, and similar price, but comfy beds, clean and updated rooms, free breakfast, and good Wi-Fi.)

A great stay for the money! I have stayed here in the past and will stay here in the future! The rooms are extra-large (love that) and super clean! This is a "boutique" hotel, as such, every room is just a little different from the others. Some furnishings may be a tad bit "dated" but at the same time each room I have stayed in had a VERY comfortable bed and pillows, a nice size modern TV, mini refrigerator and microwave. The staff here has always been extremely friendly and accommodating! Situated in an A+ neighborhood of Tampa with nice landscaping and a unique design this does not feel like a typical hotel. It is somehow more welcoming, peaceful and has less of that "hotel feel". The rooms could use more lighting (some of them anyway). The hotel location is very convenient to just about anything and everything you want in Tampa, and it is a very safe neighborhood. While it may not be the Ritz Carelton, this is a great value for the money!
