Very dissapointing and the manager doesn't care Attended a wedding in April and paid £200 for one night in the poster room, which was supposed to be one of their 'grand rooms'. Unfortunately....... The night before in the Premier Inn was better....and that wasn't great. Where do I start... The sink didn't drain, One of the windows was smashed there was no showergel so couldn't even shower properly before the ceremony, there were stains and cobwebs on the walls & ceiling, the room was too hot to sleep.. the drinks were ridiculousy expensive, the evening food was undercooked and not very nice. The only thing good was the breakfast in the morning. We wouldn't stay here again if you paid us... We tried and tried to contact Michelle (The manager) and left messages but she doesn't return calls or emails. We feel like we have just been robbed and fobbed off. Shame really as we were looking forward to a night away and enjoying our friends wedding.

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU MAKE (AND PAY IN ADVANCE) A RESERVATION HERE !!!! Our overall experience at this hotel was quite poor, among other things I could mention: a) The toilet in our room was partially clogged, we reported this and nothing happened. b) They include a coffee machine in the room. The first night there were no coffee capsules and they brought them the second day only after we complained. c) They ask for reservations for breakfast as the space available is quite small. But the main problem was that on the second night of our stay we made a reservation at the reception for the “'1851 Restaurant”' and when we arrived we were refused saying (in a bad mood) that we didn't have a reservation there.

Absolutely poor customer service I booked a romantic few days away at Peckforton Castle for 1st to 3rd September 2025 and was looking forward to dining in the a la carte restaurant, but the closed it for refurbishment and then advised me that it would not be open on Monday and Tuesdays after the refurbishment. I tried rebooking for a weekend stay without success so requested my booking be cancelled, after several attempts with the company not returning my calls they eventually cancelled my booking charging me £100 cancellation fee Not a fan of this company or their service Be warned that it will cost you if you have to cancel, I’ll never book a stay at this hotel again

Left a lot of room for improvement We booked Peckforton for our Wedding on 9th June 2025. Our day was beautiful as we were surrounded by friends & family we loved. There were two or three staff who were phenomenal but the rest of the experience, attention to detail & general experience had many aspects to be improved upon & caused a lot of stress and upset. Feeding the gluten free bride gluten the night before her wedding, cleanliness of rooms, reception staff’s lack of care & attention & poor communication all let it down massively. I feel there needs to be some massive work on the quality of service, cleanliness & general conduct at the hotel
