Best Location on the Mountain Outstanding service and the best location on the mountain. Close to lifts, gondolas, shopping and restaurants. We have stayed here in all seasons for over 20 years. The most friendly and helpful staff anywhere. We have stayed at Fairmont resorts and hotels in Asia and Pacific and this is the best.

Amazing Condo with even more amazing views My best friend and I had been planning a friend trip for the longest time. We decided to jump on it and plan a trip to Mountain Village/Telluride. We are so thankful we decided on Franz Klammer Lodge as it had amazing views, best hospitality, and an even better location. This lodge is right in the middle of Mountain Village, super close to the shops and even closer to the FREE gondola to either Telluride or the market. The condo itself was more than we could have hoped for. From the views of the mountains on the balcony, to the stars shining so bright from the 5th floor hot tub, I have never been so in awe of Colorado. Everything was fully stocked - kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and even the rooms! We were thrilled to find humidifiers and fans were provided. Also - the shampoo and lotion smells AMAZING. Highly recommend and already planning when I can take my husband.

No AC and LOUD awakenings each morning While the location is ideal, we won’t be returning to this property. First off — there is no AC, and we didn’t realize this until we arrived for our mid July stay and we’re hit with a wall of heat in the rooms. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but there was NO air flow at all, so even when the temps got cool at night, there was very little we could do to cool it down, even with the very noisy swamp cooler unit they gave us and windows open. There are not even ceiling fans, and the fan they gave us was a loud, old rickety oscillating fan. When we asked for a different one, we were told they’d look, but they didn’t think they’d have one. We never heard back from them. To add insult to injury, there was a ridiculously loud garbage dumpster dragged aggressively across the cobblestone each and every morning prior to 7am… This continued multiple times for at least an hour. It was truly an awful way to be woken up every day since all the windows had to be open to try to get a decent night’s sleep. The rooms and bathrooms are dated but clean. The king bed was two twins pushed together, which you could definitely feel. The pool is nice but is a fishbowl. You are surrounded by suites, including some RIGHT next to the pool so that you could hear them listening to the TV right next to you while sitting in the hot tub. This is really not your typical Fairmont experience. Be prepared.

Concierge was top notch! The Franz Klammer Lodge concierge service was nothing like we have ever experienced! They provided and ensured we had everything we needed to make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. They assisted us prior to arriving by setting up dinner reservations and providing us information on local kids activities/camps. While we were there, they assisted us with any needs we had while in the condo, and providing us information on hiking trails, bikes, fishing gear, etc.

Telluride Is a Story Book Place. Fairmont Heritage Franz Klammer Lodge (FKL). Offers 2-3 bedrooms (2 luxury baths and Jacus) for the same specific weeks every year as well as floating on reservations, It is located a short walk to the free Gondola down the hill to the historically preserved storybook town of Telluride. It is also very close to the ski lift. It has no food services. But is closely surrounded by a variety of breakfast places and high-end restaurants for dining and lunch. Downtown Telluride does not allow any large box retailers of fast food restaurants. No big Mac, Target, or Walmart. Very romantic. Spring skiing is heavenly our fixed dates are weeks 10 and 11. We also return the week of Labor Day.
