Best decision to stay here after attending a wedding venue nearby! My friends and I had a pleasant night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the nice friendly staff name Jenny. We were actually in a rush trying to maybe get checked in a little early so that we could change outfits to attend our friend's wedding ceremony nearby but unfortunately check-in time is at 4PM. Jenny and her colleague were very accommodating to our needs knowing we needed to get changed, she lent us the meeting room to get suited. Room's were ready eventually after we were done changing but quick problem solving to finding solutions is key in the hospitality industry, so kudos to them =) We had 2 rooms during our stay, king and double double and both rooms were super comfortable and clean. There's coffee/tea muffins and fruits at the lobby for breakfast and parking was included with our reservation. We had a good time!

Oy. 5 stars for the staff, 2 for the room. Friendly staff who were trying hard to help guests with rooms that had a lot of problems. For the rate we paid ($379/night!!) I would have expected a working TV and clean trundle mattress and bedding and fresh smelling towels. The front desk forgot to send someone to fix the TV (understandable as they were inundated with other requests). Marriott - do some legwork and get your rooms ready before travel picks up.

Feel like we are being punished We came to Temecula on a holiday weekend for a wedding and booked this hotel under a block provided by the family. My review is based on a Covid protocol with few services being offered by the hotel during my stay. Restrictions include no room service for < 4 day stays, closed indoor pool, boxed cereal as the breakfast, and no price concessions for the loss of services. This hotel is not up to the standards I expect from a Marriott property. The room size feels comparable to a room on a cruise ship. Tiny, tiny tiny. I feel like I’m in a small, well appointed prison cell. The toilet and shower are separated by a wall but don’t slide the doors closed if you are prone to clostrophobia. The closet is so close to the bed that a left sided bedside table won’t fit, and is not there. The noise on the second floor from other guests walking was loud enough to wake us up. There is one lamp in our room, the bedside lighting is a fluorescent, flickering bulb, and we struggle with lighting in this space. Lighting is an issue in our room. The furniture is one step up from Goodwill, wouldn’t sit on the couches if my life depended on it. The fridge is not cooling. We had no bug issues on our stay. This hotel was clearly designed and built cheaply and to maximize space to the benefit of the hotel. Generic and soulless. From a service perspective, checkin was efficient and friendly, behind the bulletproof glass partitions they put up. The staff was responsive to our request that they provide a featherfree room but otherwise ignored our Marriott profile requests for additional towels, hangars and a high floor location. We had to insist that they comply with our wishes. Do you even look at the customers requests on their profiles? If you price gouged me for this room, this stay, I would be incredibly upset. There is little value here at the Springhill. If you are not restricted or forced to stay here, don’t.

Almost Didn’t Book Because of Prior Reviews The most recent reviews painted an unflattering portrait of this stay, but our stay was quite good. It is a good practice to treat past reviews with respect because no two stays are alike. Perhaps I should thank the previous reviewers? One never knows, but the possibility exists that the most recent reviews got management attention and resulted in an improved property. The front desk was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, although small for a suite. I made it a point to scope out any uncleanliness because of prior reviews; I saw none of that. Also, the nightly rates, booking direct with Marriott, saved about $20 a night over similar properties. I can easily afford that $20, but why pay it when you don’t have to?

Not Quite We spent two nights at the location. The receptionists were very nice and helpful. The room layouts are well done and comfortable. Unfortunately, one two paper coffee cups were left in the room making it so your cup for water and rinsing your mouth out after brushing your teeth and cup for morning coffee are all the same when there are two of you. It should not be necessary to run down to the front desk to get a couple more cups each time. Coffee packets in the room were all decaf which is great if both of us were decaf coffee drinkers, but we’re not. Time to visit the front desk. Checking work emails and doing related research was very difficult, at least from our room, as the WiFi was so weak our laptops kept telling us the searches were timed out or no connection. Very frustrating. Finally, and we travel a fair amount, even during this time of Covid, there was no “Grab & Go Breakfast”. Come on, stick a few items in a bag and leave on a counter for guests to snag like similar other hotels. When it costs (with taxes) over $350 for two nights, two more cups, a couple of packets of regular coffee, reliable WiFi, and a Grab & Go Breakfast are reasonable to expect.
