Candlewood Suites Hotel Texas City, an IHG Hotel

Clean hotel with great staff Very clean hotel. Great staff service. Grate place to stay. There are several restaurants nearby hotel. It could be better if they serve breakfast its understood that their rooms are with kitchenette. If you are going for fishing to Texas City Dike or Galveston this is the best hotel to stay with very reasonable rates.

Comfortable bed and great service Good Hotel. Clean room comfortable bed and staff is very attentive and courteous. I highly recommend this location I loved the coffee, it could be better if they serve breakfast. The rooms are kitchenet which are best for long term stay.

Very bad mold smell but friendly front desk receptionist The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful, if not for her I’d leave a 1 star as she was the only good thing about this experience. We noticed a mold/mildew smell as soon as we stepped off the elevator on the 3rd floor, thinking maybe it’s the carpets. Entered our room and the smell was so strong it burned our nostrils. We opened a window to air it out while we went to eat, came back and no difference in the smell. We knew If we slept in that room we would wake up with major allergy issues or some other respiratory illness. My husband checked the AC intake filters which were clean, but the problem is the visible mold inside the vents where the cold air comes out. We asked the front desk lady for another room which she happily agreed to, some tall man (I’m Guessing the manager) walked us to 3 separate rooms on the 3rd floor, some smelled worse than others. Overall, the rooms had the same smell so we checked out and booked at another hotel. Unfortunately, I had left my suitcase open while we went to eat and noticed the mold/mildew smell on my clothes when I opened it at the new clean smelling hotel room! Receptionist was very friendly and understanding, she instructed me to call IHG to request my points back. However, IHG gave me my points back without me having to ask for them so that was nice!

Great stay as usual. Ample parking place. Very clean room. Checked in, was quick and efficient, very polite. The staff is always above and beyond to help me get whatever needed. Fully equipped kitchen, free laundry is plus. Stay was great as always.

Clean room, fresh smell, free washers and dryers, workout room is amazing. Fresh Condiments Front desk miss Annette is the best, she help me navigate my way around and gave amazing hospitality. The free washers and dryers was the best, the workout room is very helpful plus you can drill out side.
