Wonderful place to stay. We stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it. Quaint town, it was quiet, super close to Sequoia, and good places to eat nearby. The room wasn't fancy so if you are looking for that this isn't the place for you. It was a little small but if you're willing to pay more they have bigger rooms. The pool was a little cool but it was September so I guess they might not heat it much depending on the weather. They had a nice selection of videos you could borrow and we actually stayed two nights instead of one because we liked it so much. I highly recommend. We didn't have any issues.

Be careful of this place My friend booked this hotel through a vacation club and when we drove up, looked OK. We checked in and had room 10. When we opened the door, that was enough. The pergo floor was separating, and there were 1/2 inch gaps in many places. The edges were sharp, so if you got up in the middle of the night and hit the spot wrong, you could potentially get cut. There were bugs in the room, it had a musty smell, there was a VERY small AC unit that didn't work very well, the fridge kept things cool, not cold. The room didn't feel clean, but there appeared to be black mold growing up from the baseboard in 2 different places. We requested a change of rooms but could not be accommodated. They advertised free breakfast, but there was nothing. The next day, they were able to give us a different room and it was pretty nice. But do NOT stay in room 10. It's the one that faces an outdoor staircase. And don't expect breakfast.

Poor Pros: spacious, free WiFi worked well, microwave, refrig & in room coffee. Cons: Air condition heating didn't work, just blew air. Shower didn't work, wouldn't send water to shower head! I was going to complain, but didn't feel like moving my stuff to another room, so I just cleaned myself with a hot wash cloth and soap and managed to wash my hair in the sink. How they can put somebody in a room where the shower is broken is a mystery to me! Finally, the TV had virtually no working channels, only some weather, a cartoon channel, "Grit," and a couple other nothing channels. The price was low, but as they say, you get what you pay for. I understand now why the parking lot was virtually empty during most of my 3 day stay. Won't be staying there again!

HEALTH HAZARD!! FALSE ADVERTISING!! NO TOILET PAPER! STANDING TOILET WATER HEALTH HAZARD!! FALSE ADVERTISING!! BE WARNED!! We had the misfortune of staying at the Best Western in Three Rivers, CA on 12/ 29/23 Just outside Sequoia National Park. There is a Comfort Inn a 1/2 mile down the road. STAY THERE. We checked in around 9:30 pm ( time is important because water on floor from cleaner should be dry by then) We were given room 19 . Noticed immediately that there was standing water around the toilet. Called front desk, they asked if we could wait for someone in 15 min. NO! A leaking toilet is not going to be fixed at 9:30at night! I don't want to wade thru motel toilet water!!! We requested a new room. We were given room 62 - a handicapped room as far away from the lobby as possible. Again, important to note. Immediately we noticed standing water sat the end of one of the beds. WTH! No ceiling leak, but a mystery. Being exhausted from the day, we decided to put an early old towel on it and avoid it. At least it wasn't toilet water! It did not appear to be mop water because the floor was still dirty, crud along walls especially in the bathroom. Next problem - NO TOILET PAPER or KLEENEX AT ALL. Imagine being a physically handicapped person, using the toilet and finding out that there is no toilet paper in the room at all. Only thing in the closet was an old walker and two old pillows WITHOUT PILLOWCASES. No blankets, no extra sheets, no nothing!! There was only two old stained towels in the room ( sleeps four people) that were thrown up on the shelf. Yes, thrown up. No tidy effort at all. My daughter had to walk across a dark parking lot at 10pm to get ONE ROLL OF TP. They didn't even offer to stock the room or offer Kleenex. So around 10:30pm we proceeded to open the beds. NO TOP SHEETS!! Gross! Only fitted sheets! Imagine trying to sleep against old blankets that possibly hundreds or thousands of people have slept against. This is the type of motel that probably doesn't wash the blankets, by the looks of the towels. (towels were old , worn, stained and HAD HAIR ON THEM!!!) This time I called the front desk and asked them to deliver top sheets to our room. About 10 minutes later, the mom and her son showed up. ( this is family business, mom and daughter wore the same religious garb and the son looked like the mom) I showed the mom the lack of sheets and the water on the floor. No apologies, no excuses. She did bring two extra nasty towels to make a total of 4 towels for a room that slept four. After they left I pulled out the beds to check for bedbugs. This definitely the type of motel that would have bedbugs. Amazing! no bedbugs but GREEN MOLD ON FLOOR AT HEAD OF BOTH BEDS. HEALTH HAZARD!! it was quite obvious that the beds had never been pulled out for cleaning. I wish I had taken a picture but I was too tired. But the "fun' didn't end there. The heater only had two settings - 85 degrees or off. Even though the temperature number appeared to change, IT DID NOT WORK. My husband had to open the sliding glass door at 2am to release the inferno. We turned the blast furnace back on at 7 am when we were trying to escape the hellhole. But wait! There's more! We opened the room fridge only to find a brown liquid on the door and on the floor of the fridge. The fridges are never cleaned. Again, there's more! The tv must use old antenna. No cable or satellite. Remember the old fuzzy lines and static? Old folks would remember this as classic antenna reception. this is an old motel - think 1970's Which brings up an important point, because this is such an old motel, there are NO USB PLUGS. You need to bring your own cubes to charge your devices. FALSE ADVERTISING! This motel advertises CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. OH HELL NO! That was the first thing the daughter said when we tried to check in early. No breakfast, just oatmeal and some old, dehydrated oranges. No coffee in lobby, no place to sit down in the tiny lobby. Old fashioned drip coffee makers in room, but no creamers. Daughter did recommend a place down the road that served breakfast. Close to the Comfort Inn that you should stay at inside of this health hazard place that calls itself a Best Western. This motel should be reported for health violations and for false advertising. Due to its age, it should be brought up to code and turned into housing for the homeless. Best use for it. AGAIN. DO NOT STAY HERE. STAY AWAY. THERE IS A COMFORT INN less than a mile toward the park.

Basic Accommodation, quite dirty This is a basic motel, but to be fair the price reflects this. The room was dirty (hair in the bath etc). The window was cracked. The pool was closed. The coffee was weak, the electrics were flakey, the garden was trashy. But if all you need is a comfortable bed for the night before or after a visit to the national park, then I would say it's adequate and good value.
