Never again Check in was frustrating. The receptionist required photo id and our U.K. passports, the ultimate ID in most people's opinion, did not meet her requirement it doesn't have our home address on. Since my U.K. Driving Licence has my address but no photo that was no good either. Had to have both on the same document it seems. It looked like we were going to be homeless for the night but she eventually decided my passport would suffice. We didn't have this bother for any of the other 15 nights of our trip. She offered no info about the hotel until we asked (pool hours, wi-fi password, breakfast hours, etc). She told us the pool closed at 9pm so I figured we missed it as we checked in about 8.45. Then a few minutes later we were waiting to ask for change for the laundromat and she told another guest that the pool closed at 10pm so I could have had a swim. She then said she had no change for the laundromat and the deli adjacent was closed so we were out of luck. We’d asked about the laundromat at 8.45 but she didn’t mentioned we might need change and that was only from the deli that closed at 9pm. Having been on a road trip for days, the laundromat was the main reason we stayed at this particular hotel so this was really frustrating. She did eventually find change in her drawer so we were able to do our laundry after all. Having got the laundry going my husband wanted to stay with it and I wanted to go back to the room so I asked the receptionist for a second key. She'd given two keys to the other person checking in without him even asking for them. “That will be very awkward” was her response. Talk about being made to feel unwelcome! Although it wasn't just us that were made unwelcome - there were signs everywhere saying not to allow cats in. We didn't see any cats but they sure seemed pretty anti-cats judging by the signage. Dogs welcome presumable. The only positives were that the room was large and spacious and had a microwave/kitchenette and refrigerator. It smelled of smoke though which was horrible. On top of this the bed was like a wobbling marshmallow and I didn't get a good night's sleep. Our worst hotel experience in a 16 day road trip. We avoided using the Shilo chain for the rest of the trip as for $163 this was very poor value and we didn't want to risk our id being declared inadequate again.

Find somewhere else! This place is not suitable for lodging. It is completely rundown with no amenities. It is a clean bed with vinyl flooring. 2 towels and a washcloth, 12" lamps and an old recliner with shredded vinyl cover. When we reserved our room it had breakfast, fitness room and good reviews. Upon arrival nothing was as it was advertised.

As a constant traveler, I do not recommend the Tillamook inn. I was booked into a double queen room, where I discovered one bed was dirty after running my hands over the sheets. I moved over to check the second bed where I found a brown poop like substance on the carpet in front of the bed. However, the bed appeared to be clean. There’s no way that housekeeping could have not seen this gross substance on the carpet. I mentioned this to the person working the desk as I checked out. However, she was unconcerned of what I found in my room.. she simply stated that she would have it spot cleaned. I stated before I left that I had placed napkins over the spot spot, so that housekeeping would not miss it again.. She gave no apologies, but acted rather matter factly like this was a regular occurrence. I do not recommend this establishment.

Pretty Bad! Bad! See photos below. Basically everything that's promised on the booking website as an "amenity" does not actually exist. Also my room was disgusting (see body hair on the shower surround below) and the fridge froze all the food I intended to eat for lunch the next day. I will never, ever stay here again, I recommend you don't, either.

Comfortable, but stinks Rooms were basic but acceptable, biggest concern, depending on which way the wind is blowing your may have an overpowering smell of cow manure. Its got a good location for going to the coast, or the cheese factory, while being close enough to in-town that you can find food easily.
