Great find in the South Bay area. Surprisingly great hotel in this price range. Room was large, bed very comfortable, room was very clean and looked as though it was recently renovated. Good desk space, which is important to me for business. The bathroom has a washlet-the first time I’ve seen this in a hotel in this price range. And it has a large soaking tub. Shower and sink areas had good, eco-friendly products. My only note is that the WiFi needs to be improved. Verizon has bad service in this area so I was dependent on WiFi for emailing and streaming. Both were problematic as the WiFi cut out a lot. Overall a great stay and I enjoyed the Asian esthetic.

Unless you REALLY need the Japanese support, would not recommend. I just stayed here on a business trip but would not recommend. Details are below. Pros: Check in staff was friendly, bathroom was clean, hotel is close to business area, room had a nice mini-fridge. Hotel has amenities for visitors from Japan (bilingual, Japanese breakfast and snacks, Japanese TV, etc). Cons: Room decor could best be described as "warehouse". Muted green walls, gray simulated wood grain vinyl tile floor (no carpet! more about that later), furnishings are a different simulated gray wood grain. King room was big but mostly empty space. Room had a bed, arm chair, desk and cheap chair, credenza. Lots of room to add more comfort type stuff like a footstool or a table to put your drink next to the arm chair. Lots of nuisance maintenance / upkeep issues similar to a typical "chain hotel", but they usually don't have them all at the same time. Safe didn't work, showerhead had multiple options / settings but couldn't use them because it was stuck on one setting, one of the lamps worked only if you could get the switch in just the right spot, lamp shades didn't match, stains on the mattress cover and curtains, etc But the biggest issue is the noise. Judging by the unpainted bits of trim near the floor and the gaps under the doors, the rooms previously had carpet. But now with the vinyl floors and apparently paper-thin walls, noise transfers from everywhere into your room. When the guy in the room next door uses his bathroom or watches TV, it sounds like he's in your room. This was especially annoying for me because the guy next door to me was most active from 1-4AM. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much. Also, the A/C units have a sheet metal cover that protects the outdoor portion of the unit. It also acts a speaker for any water that drips down and sounds like someone is hammering on your window. At more than $200/night with tax, I will NOT be staying here again.

Meh could do way better in Torrance wow The hotel has people that smoke and allows it, the alarm was set off one day and the hotel flooded. The second floor is very dirty and stained. Overall the maintenance is poor and it’s quite confusing on way they won’t maintain the second floor’s appearance. The rooms are so so they clean somewhat but they’re good. Sometimes spots in the room I just think wow pure lazy cleaning a lot of missed a spots

HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR MARIA ASKED ME TO PRAY FOR HER! I stayed here Labor Day Weekend. I am Very High Profile and greatly appreciated the Privacy from Hotel Employees. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet stay. Housekeeping and Front Desk treated me politely and with respect. Positive Experience. I recommend this Hotel. I will choose this Hotel again.

STAY AWAY!!! If I could give zero stars I would. My room was in desperate need of repair. The bed headboard was peeling, carpet had stains all over it. I was afraid to walk on it barefoot. The room smelled like a thrift store, musty and mildewy. Windows are poorly insulated, the traffic noise kept me awake all night, along with noise from the next room because the walls are thin. The next day I asked to be moved to a room that was quieter and cleaner. Akane, the lady at the desk said I had to check out of the room I was in at 11 am and could check into a new room at 3 pm. She wanted me to remove all of my belongings from the room and haul around my luggage for 4 hours just so they could clean the room I was vacating and put another poor unsuspecting guest in it. Of course, I refused this ridiculous request and immediately checked out. She actually tried to charge me for another night even though I was checking out!Stay away from this place. Horribly maintained and horrible customer service.
